This is just fucking pathetic!! He's legit, was streaming the whole time in a legit manor and still got banned for legitly getting 600,000 xp in 13 hours of game play... I just felt like sharing this article because its fucking hilarious IMHO!

I knew legit people would get caught up in this. Niantics incredibly pathetic and understaffed development team just put a blanket banning system in place. They don't have the resources or intelligence to design a proper anti-cheat system so they just blanket ban anyone playing too long, walking to far, or gaining too much exp.

I agree! This is why I always say bots will win in the end. They have no idea who is cheating and who isn't.

To be fair he was using a phone. So all that XP was logged on the client Niantic released. Therefore, more than likely, his soft-ban probably will disappear when time elapses, and he wont be flagged anymore. When we do it we get caught and banned. Doesn't necessarily ruin the experience and thus cause bots to win. However, they will probably tweak this.
