***Notice of Account Closure***

Account Name: ------

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behaviour is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: Impact of Buying Gold - Services - World of Warcraft

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at Blizzard Entertainment: Blizzard Legal Documentation. Any recurring subscriptions on this account have been suspended to prevent further monetary charges.

If you believe your account was compromised, please go to the following website https://eu.battle.net/account/support/account-recovery.html. Our support staff will assist you as soon as possible. If you are unable to access your account due to the password being changed, please visit our Login Support site here: https://eu.battle.net/account/support/password-reset.html

For any disputes of this action or further information on Exploitive Activity, please visit the Exploitative Activity FAQ and contact page here: Exploitative Activity in World of Warcraft - Battle.net Support

Already sent a ticket, got a reply after 30 minutes, I now have a 72 hour suspension.

In case it matters; I was botting on another char at the same time (same bnet account even), using BGBuddy and it was untouched.

Guess I'm going to lay low for a week or so now :(

Edit: Also not going to mine/herb in Uldum anymore.
Edit 2: Fixed typos.

Again this is a repost but its for you Uldum Botters, Becareful there are a ton of Players reporting bots. I see general chat just explode with things like "Found another one, report [Name] Hes a Bot!" and people just keep on, I've see over 50 players in less than a few hours on my high populated realm get called out. Ether or not players actually report them but now its looking like more and more are.

Hmm, ok.
For those who supervise their bots (like me) it might be a nice idea to install Prat(chat addon), there's a pop-up message option which allows you to add certain words/names to a list which will pop-up when mentioned in the chat(can make a sound too).
Simply add your charname to this list and when you hear it pop-up simply log off/do something else and be safe ^^

Yes you could do that, but Uldum is just becoming more and more as a "death trap" due to all the acutal players getting mad and pissed. I had a guy whisper me "Hi." Luckly thanks to Logmeout's Beep Alert I reply, "Hello?" He replys that it was a test to see if i was a bot or not. Players are getting more and more annoyed with bots lol. But nevertheless, I Personly only go to Uldum for Cloths, I dont bother mining there due to there being atleast 25+ Players flying around trying to get ores.

I'm glad that botbusters still don't know that we got auto-reply with the "shut-up" plugin. It's gertting more and more an essential part of any safe botting.

Dinappa, I am in the EXACT same situation. I am botting my main and my secondary account, auctions are done on main and the secondary got banned. I believe it's the massive amount of mails with ore that looks suspicious.

It's funny how the an reason is exploitation of economy, not 3rd party software. So, if someone farmed mats 20 hours a day by hand and kept mailing them, he would be exploiting the economy as well.

The thing is, the ban I received at first was for exploiting the economy, but after I appealed it got changed into a 72 hour suspension but their it said the reason was:
Date of Violation: 26/03/2012
Type of Violation: Third party prgram
Character Name Involved: --------
Consequences for Account: Account suspended for 72 hours (3 day)

I got the ban today, but the date of violation was 26/03, so I guess they've been investigating for a while at first >.<

There have been vashjir bans within the past 2 weeks fyi. One was myself and a couple others I know of personally, no idea if they posted on the boards.
