Also experiencing this, would love an update or workaround. EDIT: Running near identical config from OP. Only difference is hardware, running with an i7-7700k and a GTX 970 on an older rig. -

Been working flawlessly for me for ~20 hours — using most current releases of everything. Hangs on Act IV occasionally, but gold inactivity timer handles that well enough. -
