Hey, i had it too. How i solved it was to set priority on "Above normal" for Diablo3 process. That stopped the lagging, freezing. I am running a VMware instance with 2GB ram, 1 CPU. Did not have the same problem when i had 2 CPUs set in the VM. Notable is that before setting the priority...
