Open up the game Options -> Advanced -> Graphics API change to DirectX 9 Options -> Graphics -> Display Mode: Change to Windowed

Any text editor (notepad, editpad, notepad++) will allow you to view the source... now what to edit to change what you want it to do is another matter... ;)
