i am also requesting for a db.db file link (dropbox anyone?). the updater cannot complete the download on that file (around 34MB)

Has anyone figured out how to fix the "spinning" issue when a mob spawns next to you, and you run past it - getting aggro and you end up spinning, jumping around the mob until you die?

I have tried updating for the past 30 minutes without any success getting past 5%. I will try tomorrow again.

Fixed, just do not use the server+character option.

So how do you avoid/prevent/fix this?! The game is literally unplayable.
