It is as safe as before. The current version is not "unsafe" or anything like this. You can even play Pokemon GO on your smartphone using 0.35 if you disable auto update in Play Store. And yes, we are working hard on updating it.

I am pretty sure they tried and Apple rejected the release since it was delayed. Anyways we are working on deobfuscating it automatically. Lots of work is going on behind the scenes to ensure Pokefarmer can handle Niantic anti security strikes.
