[Official] Demonbuddy Bans December 18 and Refunds

We do not know how many accounts were banned on December 18th. Blizzard says 1000s and that seems correct to us. The vast majority of our users seem to have not been banned so we are ruling out software detection. Demonbuddy was selling very well over the last two months and our best guess is that Blizzard targeted certain patterns of behaviour and were happy if it got a lot of botters and a few innocent users as well. We can only guess what that pattern of behaviour they targeted was. Something similiar happened in July and we lost a lot of accounts - profile randomisation fixed it then.

Our latest release has small changes that randomise aspects of vendoring and that make it easier for us to do traffic monitoring. Demonbuddy is now as safe as we can make it.

Our advice to users is that botting over 8 hours per account per day increases the odds of ban dramatically. Running the same profile all the time also increases your risk. There is real money to be made in Diablo 3 with the real money auction house - Blizzard has just increased the cost of your accessing it.

We have a lot of refund requests. As you know, we offer a 7 day change of mind period with Demonbuddy. Rest assured that we do have the funds to honour them all. However we also have lots of PMs and emails from people changing their mind about refunds and frankly its a lot of admin to sort them out. What we plan to do is email everyone who asked a refund offering to add another 7 days to their change of mind period. If you want a refund immediately thats fine. If you want to try it a week and then decide that's fine too. If you have already requested a refund and are surprised to be getting an email offering you an extra 7 days change of mind period, my apologies but its the only way we can manage it.

People who bought 1 day keys will be emailed special 3 day keys to make up for the inconvenience.

I would have to say it was software detection. I had my account banned on the 18 and the funny thing was I did not run my bot for three weeks. So I would have to say it was software detection.
 
I cant find on what email i can ask for refund can u tell me ? it wont work if i reply on email u send me key.

hi just want to know if you can use the demonbuddy and how safe it is and if ah out some new version of demonbuddy
 
So guys..do i have to expect an email asking me about that 7 days "change of mind" period or this period just have started ? And tell me if i understand this wrong..but since i bought my 1session key on 19.12.2012(few hours after the banwave and i have not use the bot for 1 second since then) that means starting today i have 7days to think about it and run the bot for free..and then my 1session key actually starts counting ?
I am asking all this cause i was one of those guys asking for a refund in an email sent to your support and till today i don't have any answer or any kind of back up communication besides this forum. I know that you have a lot of requests .. and probably the email to me is just late. I just wanna make sure i understand the timing of all those things correctly. btw thank you for your job. Looks like you understand what you'r doing and you do it with respect to the users. Keep up.

You can use Demonbuddy for 7 days from now. There is no way we would keep your money if you were unhappy.

What do you mean when you say that "Blizzard has just increased the cost of your accessing to RMAH?" I don't understand what is the change that are you talking about.

Were these emails sent out today? now? because i never got a reply on my first refund email also have not received this 7 day extension email? just curious thanks!! and i still want a refund because i was running 3/3 for months. bought the extra key on the 15th because a friend gave me free 60 barb account to do 4/4.. after being banned on all 4/4.. i dont have the funds to buy 4 more D3 keys. so ill just run 1 or 2 accounts until then. thanks!
 
After my survey, not simple guess.
I still think this is detected in some way of DB behaviors. So it make not 100% banned, but majority is gone.
 
How do i go about getting an email? i had 2 one day keys that got screwed up, and i would grateful appreciate one of the special 3 day key's.

I dont understand how you say its not software detection when i bought 4 accounts 5 days before ban, and i botted 6 hours/day with them only doing quests. It was questing profile, pretty much the bot was acting 100% like human and they all got banned.......

Seriously, i would want to go back to botting D3 but for now as i see it is --> Buy new Cd keys , bot for 1-2 months (safe botting) then get banned again due to the problem that was not fixed in the first place cause the team is not aware of it....

Honestly do you think that so many banns occured due to something else and not detection? What behaviour pattern are we talking about for those 4 fresh accounts i botted with for a few days, questing for 6 hours a day..... is it Giles Plugin? or what is it?

Behaviour Pattern is a such a large concept that i dont have any ideea what i can do better not to get cought. And on all others accounts i botted safe and when i say safe i mean freaking safe, took all precautions, from mac adress / Hdd id, windows change, ip adresses, firewall routes, errors sent to server blocked. Honestly i do not belive it was on my side at all, because safer then that its not possible to bot in my perception of it.
So please.... when you say behaviour pattern please elaborate so i know wtf could i change before i start botting again, because just jumping back in the pool full of sharks because you can't see their tail anymore is not working for me.

the bot was doing things a human can't. like sell items too quickly at exact intervals of time and without the inventory window open. this is one example.
 
I couldn't even find anything botting 24 hours. How the hell am I going to make money now botting 1/3 of the time?
 
you buy three times as much Diablo III and DB keys man and with that in mind, I'm not sure which is more riskier, just go all in and hope for a two week lifespan at this time, or buying three times as much and wait for 6 weeks lol
 
i thought someone has told me, "soft detection is 100% ban", so how dare you say it is against demonbuddy without all DB user banned??
 
I Posted earlier, and didnt get a reply from hawker/admin. were these emails sent today? because i didnt receive one. Also didnt receive one from my original refund email

3000 is a joke, the most conservative estimate of 50,000！！！
