[GUIDE] VMware + D3 | they way it shoud be done

Hey little question.
Why would you run Diablo 3 into a VM?

I just learned what is a VM at school so I would know how to set this up, I want to know it before buying the bot and everything :)
 
can you post "mkdir mklink folder" by the txt attchment?

Trying to set up a virtual machine with vmware workstation 8, and I'm trying to load Windows XP professional (only OS I have that I have a legit key for), and I've tried booting from a virtual drive (mounted the .iso using Power ISO), but VMWare keeps telling me it can't find the path to the CD drive. So, I next tried using the option of installing from an iso, but when the VM starts, it says it can't find a boot file, then says no operating system found.

Can anyone help me with this? Does VMWare just have issues with Win xp?

so you can run more then one instance i believe.
 
My bat file doesn't want to copy over files from the mapped Z drive to the C drive. It keeps saying "0 files copied". So, I tried to copy the files over manually, but I keep getting Error 0x800703E3: The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request when I try to copy over "patch-base-12480.MPQ".

Anyone know what to do for this?
 
Ok, got everything to work in VM, but when I try to logon, Blizz shits on me with a "There was a problem with an authentication module. (Error 11007)" Any ideas on how to fix this?
 
hi well i did everything step by step till 6) Now the most part.

Make sure you have your Diablo III on VMware Host.
For reference I'll use following paths.

but how can i make a VMware Host?
 
First some terminology:
VMware Host = your real PC
VMware Guest = your virtual PC
VMware Clone = is a clone from your first firtual PC
First VMware = your fist vmware

ye but i have and d3 and db on my real pc but i cant make it visible on virtual pc, bat file whit c:d3
or i need to write all the way till d3 folder like C:\Games\Diablo III in bat file trying to type same its dosnt work... im first time whit vmware..
 
welll my launcher started and do not updating , i already did update on host pc but on VM its just freeze and do not let you press play button, any advice? or i did something wrong?
 
OK, i think i have to give up on this.
Been running vm for about 2 weeks without problems and now the system cannot find the .exe AGAIN. Just yesterday everything was fine, but today game crashed on desktop and since then diablo iii.exe file went missing for some weird reason. It is still there in C:, in the same exact place, but system doesn't see it.

Host PC is working fine. I don't know what is wrong here.
I've tried to delete whole D3 folder and recreate it re-running bat file. Doesn't help at all.
It seems that vm only is able to open D3 whenever it wishes to.
 
simply cant tell what is going wrong with my settings, am doing everything the way its detailed, i've even changed the pref file, still, even one quest running is lagging like hell, that for a i5 3100, 16gb/2100, SSD... this is killing me in the last few days
I even reinstalled my host windows...

Can't wait to get started... After reading all of it, I only have 1 problem. Where do I get windows 7 ultimate sp1 x32 lite v3 by nil-nt.iso? - I've tried almost everywhere on the internet. Most torrent sites that linked to them, found via google were just false. I finally found a torrent, but no seeds or peer.

Can anyone tell me, where I can get this?

almost the same here, i've found one, that seems to have the files, but itsnot bootable, even so, vmware cant install from the disc, nor by browsing the files
