"The monk cannon" - a budget fast and effective monk build for Act 3 champion farming

great guide for monk, thanks.

ive been testing it out and my only recommendation would be to add some LoH. while running sweeping wind you are constantly hitting enemies so you are constantly gaining life even if you havent killed the mob yet.

i have also been farming on mp1

Sweeping wind doesn't proc LoH.

Soooo

At the moment I've tried this build and its running all fine and shiny.

This is the build I'm running with and I'm on 34% movement speed.

I'm doing keyruns with MP0 and its killing all elites at act 3 with ease, exept for the Belgor one he has too much hp and I only die once there. But that happens once an hour so I'm a happy panda.

The thing is, I'm getting about 240k gold an hour.
Ofcourse it has to do with my profile and the GoldFind items but I'm wondering... how can I increase this Gold/hour to more?
Do I need to run an other profile somewhere else in Act 1 or should I stay in Act 3.
Everybody saying they are getting 600k/hour NO PROBLEM blablablablabla but I actually still find this quite hard to believe.

Not hard to believe considering mp lvls, paragon lvls, and GF on gear all would increase that number..

I'm not talking about 'thats not possible' I mean it more like: 'you get this low-cost-budget-monk' to farm 600gph with.
Th?ts what I'm wondering about.

600gph is more like doing Hell diff Core->Slaughter runs with an Infinite Tempest Rush build with Goldskin full GF gear instead of this.

Sweeping Winds doesnt proc LoH. But FoT does so it's not entirely a bad idea.

Take an item:
Amulet
100 dex
70 vit
8 crit chance
7 attack speed

now add 2,000 Health after Kill - will add 1-2mil max to the price right?
Now add 400 LoH instead - will add 10 mil

LoH is a very expensive affix, that's why this build is made for speed - get 5k HP each KILL meaning 5k hp every HIT (as you 1hit kill).
And when you get face to face with an elite pack, you got 1 skill thats heals you and another that gives you 4 second immunity - more than enough considering their very low dmg on low mp levels.

I never said that I use LoH, just was stating why it wasn't recommended for this build and why the above user shouldn't use LoH for Sweeping Winds because Sweeping Winds doesn't proc LoH.

Then why am I doing act 3 runs again? Isn't that less profitable.

I've got a Paragon 88 Barb that yields about 750K/hour (including vendoring items) running the Act 3 champ profile. Based on what I've seen thus far with this build, I'm expecting that my monk is going to outperform the barb once he gets the equivalent Paragon levels.

I bot Act 3 because not only can I get the 750K/hour guaranteed income-I have the chance to snag an item that in one sell will produce the same income as hundreds of hours of 750/k hour gold farming.

I tried my monk on some gold profiles running in Hell mode anywhere from MP0 to MP 10 and with what I was seeing on the XP per hour, it just seemed better to just keep on running either the Alkazair profile (if I'm around to make sure to unstuck it occasionally) or the standard MP0 Act 3 champ profile.

Faster experience to get the paragon levels up, some guaranteed income, and still with the chance to snag high valued items just appealed to me more than higher gold per hour, slower paragon leveling, and crap gear drops.

Edit: At Paragon 16 monk is getting a little over 350K/hour (including vendoring items) on the Alkaizar profile.

Makes sence though. My monk is Paragon level 8 only and getting to 250k / hour. I'm also doing keyfarming in act 3 but I dont know if thats totally worth it, might just go for that champion hunting profile or the Alkazier (that you are running) to see the difference. Maybe i'm getting 250k / hour since the runs are so short and the log-out, starting new game, also eats up precious time which you can probably spend more wisely ingame whilst grinding.

Even with most of these items i am only getting 200k gph and around 7mill exp per hour. Can anybody help me out and figure out what im doing wrong please? thanks! capture 1.webp capture 3.webp Capture 4.webp Capture2.webp

First off is that dps buffed?
Secondly as i stated on the FIRST post, the most important stat is IAS which you should have on as many items as possible.
You are killing each monster in one hit, meaning you want to give out as many hits in 1 second as possible.
Each of my bots is over 1.3 attacks/second, buffed dps is around 100k on paragon 70 and it gets around 400-500k gold per hour and 10-20mil xp/hour depends on which area im farming (db can show its 20m/h and after 10minutes its on 10m/h)

That dps is NOT buffed sorry about that , should have just added everything. Whats IAS, sorry i don't quite understand.
