This is a quote made today in the general forums by Zarhym.

"Bot programs or /afk bot scripts are a problem, and we know it's gotten worse in Battlegrounds with the release of Mists. We're working with CS and the development team on this. It's unacceptable. We know it. You know it."

Just a heads up. I didn't see a post on it yet so I though I would provide what I know since I haven't done so in the last few years as a member.
 
they wont do crap about it, we know it, you know it !

just another "hi legit players, plox dont leave. We are working on it"

right.....if they ever knew how to stop us, they would have done so already.
 
The weird part is that if you think about it logically, blizzard wins whether or not they ban bots. I would say at least 1/2 of the botters will purchase more WoW accounts and keep going. This means it doesn't matter what they do, they're going to make money. I think that there is something brewing to be honest. The reason why I think they will do something this time is because it's becoming way too obvious. There are more botters not actually watching what they are doing and being caught by players. So the players that don't bot are getting better at pointing out botters.

they ban stupid people that bot for 24/7 in a row on the same spot. but the software isnt detected they just watch you pattern coordinates thats why you make you own profile for farming. and dont bot 24/7

Dont forget, that w/o bg-bots, there will be no BGs overnight at all!
Welcome 30min queues again = whine to the heavens!
 
translates into = we email'd the dev team that there is a bg bot issue and it's their job now and that's up to them if they want to do anything.
 
I got banned on 6 accounts today while my bots were farming BG's, none of them was running 24/7.

That one email that you copied said it was a 72 hour suspension. Were the all suspended or did some actually get banned?
 
nothing new, its the same stuff they keep spoon feeding their users for the last 4 years now.
 
All 6 got banned for 72 hours because they had no past suspensions or bans, otherwise it would have been a permanent ban. Even if this was the first ban the received the Final Warning.
 
i have watched bg bots, when i run it, i preffer to watch because in alterac valleys and in anothers you can see is botting, so players can report you :/, so i preffer to do bg by hand
 
Lastwhispers, thanks for the heads up on this! Different people here obviously have differing opinions about it, but I appreciate knowing that Blizzard has asked CS to look into this situation. I certainly don't need to run BGBuddy, it's not necessary and I don't want to take a chance if Blizz is considering what to do about it.

LOL! Everytime I lose access to my internet provider I think I've been discovered. It's hilarious to me when I figure out I've only been D/C because of my Internet Service Provider, but initially it scares the hell out of me.

I'm sorry that it was real for you today! I hope all goes well.

I used to freak out when this happened as well until two years of not getting banned. I mean sometimes when I login I think to myself, one day, It won't let me and I'm cool with that.
 
So last night i was baby sitting my resto shaman since shaman singular has been garbage while running random BG's. I que into a Isle of Conquest. So i would say only 7 Real people where running up against the gate in the begging. Then BG Starts, Gate opens, About 85% of the BG was in what they called a " Bot Blob " lol The bot Blob ran through the gate, then back through and all took the portal through the open gate lol. Then The Blob all ran to Docks and from there the bots ran as a blob to the side gate. From there they all started to go different directions. Was a sight to see lol. people were furious but obviously thats a lot of ppl to try and report.
