Diablo III Players Banned - Diablo III

We've recently issued several rounds of account bans for cheating in Diablo III. In each of these cases players used a hack program for exploitive purposes, for example to zoom out their game view and kill monsters that were beyond the normal range at which AI is triggered. As we do with all Blizzard games, we will continue to monitor Diablo III for cheating and take action as needed.

As a reminder, we don't permit the use of hacks or other third-party software in conjunction with Diablo III. Most of the programs out there that are intended for use with the game are actually cheat programs and automation programs ("bots") that exploit Diablo III's mechanics and provide players with an unfair advantage. However, "third-party software" also refers to any file or program that attempts to:

Obtain information about Diablo III that's not normally available to the player
Transmit or modify the Diablo III game files
Provide access to features or abilities beyond what is allowed by the game's design
Change how Diablo III interacts with Battle.net

In addition to undermining the spirit of fair play, this type of software can cause nasty technical problems, game-related bugs, and stability and performance issues with Battle.net. All of which can put a demon-sized damper on your gaming experience.

As we've said in the past, playing Diablo III legitimately means playing with an unaltered game client. We strongly recommend that you avoid using any third-party software which interacts with Diablo III?even if you are accessing that software from a reputable third-party site?as doing so can result in permanent ban from the game.

Looks like this round was just for hackers... meanwhile most of us botters are still going strong even after last weeks "ban wave" Buzzard is pathetic.

yep, seems they were upgrading their anti-cheats in all games since WoW had teleport detection put in and now D3 going after other hacks... looks like they are actually doing something which I find extremely weird since it's so late in the year so it must be a big issue (they usually do within first 6 months on previous banwaves)

imagen if Blizzard was still allowed to look out side of the WOW or D3 game. You would have no bots, no hacks and prob no dupes. They are kings at detecting hacks/bots. Back when MMOGlider was going strong. But the court changed that

actually i played the game, got shafted,waited, got pissed and decided to bot. then realized the potential and capitalized

i was actually going to do this all natural and nice, until i realized they didn't ive a fucking shit about their customers, and would rather cater to their WoW counterparts

I am running 6 bots on one IP, one computer, all give their high-end items/gold to a non-botting level 14 barb that sells $20-$200 on RMAH a day. Blatantly botting yet I've been running these accounts for over 3 months now

Or they may choose not to go after botters as hard as they like to advertise they do. Doesn't make financial sense to ban all bots as fast as they can. Costs them resources to ban us and on top of that, each time they ban us they lose revenue. I wouldn't be so aggressive toward them...karma's a bitch.

I still think they do scan outside their own processes..they created that capability for themselves for a reason..

Think about it this way..Police don't profile..they can't..it's illegal..so they can't..& don't..mmhmm..that's right..someone said they can't so they stopped altogether..they're all good people who wouldn't use something that effective to their advantage once told not to..

Landlords can't discriminate against people for all the things they do..& they sure don't..nope..fair & balanced that market is..

Jobs always need to be fair & balanced..not fire or not hire you for unjust reasons especially those protected by the Discrimination Act..& they definitely never do that..oh no no..

These laws..lawsuits & what not are put in place for entities to hide behind..no one is saying don't do it..they're saying don't get caught..

Very true, blizzard does scan outside of it's process, but they not going admit it to you. They do it so it can help them to get a reason to further investigate into your account so they will have a reason to ban you, but the reason won't be for scanning outside of it's process =)

Example: Instead of randomly checking accounts, why not check the accounts that the scanning is flagging, you'll get a higher probability that it's botting or running a third party program. The later would be more efficient for them, but they're not going to tell you that =)

Yeah I can see how they are making a good amount of money from me. RMAH and all the keys I have gone through... Any time they need to please investors they can just do a banwave and BAM - 100,000 new D3 sales within the next day. Also they can brag about 10,000,000 D3 sales LOL... how many are bot accounts?
