Db devs prepare for 1.0.5 through PTR?

Can the DB team prepare the new DB patch through the PTR server? If so, is this something we should expect from the DB devs? Usually when a new patch is launched the profit is big in the beginning but decline very fast. So its crucial that DB is availalbe asap after the patch hits.

The last patch didnt go down so smoothly. 50 crashes/day for a week, then it got a little more stable.. So Im a bit worried this patch will be a nightmare
