What If Giles Moves on to GW2 or MOP Botting after his Vacation...?

Then learn to program or do a chargeback! Stop whining!!!
 
This is sad but it would be better if he moved on. Then the things he puts out would stop working, leaving a gap that the devs who get paid to update this should fill as they should have already done.

what he said, i dont get y the devs dont put more work in, Giles does WAY better job than the devs its embarrasing. if we loose giles, which probbably wont happen, we r fucked. I think the devs should b paying Giles because of his great work.
 
When i manage to get a fully afk bot with restarter that doesn't stuck im gonna donate alot to the guy who makes it happen , most likely this guy is gonna be giles.
 
Because the devs are busy, cant you people understand this? They are working on more important things like the wow bot honorbuddy. Its more of a priority because there are more people there using the bot. Another thing is that is that they already have your money and you cant do a refund, so just relax and wait for updates? Things arent that bad. Just learn to make your own plugins and not rely on others too much.
 
If you email them they refund you if you give them a good reason. I'll be patient for now as i understand that they have to work for honorbuddy but really if in a month we still don't have random dungeons im moving on :/

LOL, I wish. Maybe one year. I am a total F1 nut, and would love to visit the tracks, although being a Brit I tend to spend most of the time going from bar to bar whenever I do go an event :)

I went to the TT this year (camping), on the Isle of Man, and can hardly remember a thing. Totally wasted, lol. Always a great atmosphere, and I will be there again next year :)

and winner of the most pointless thread posted today goes to ......

If giles doesn't do his stuff with DB then as the kinds of plugins Giles writes are needed then other people will write them (for heavydance see the temp fixes other people have posted for the stash issues)

You could spend a couple of weeks and learn to code things yourself - it's not THAT hard (Giles hadn't coded anything more advanced than an Excel spreadsheet prior to messing around with DB)

In other news - I am gutted I am going to be working all tomorrow and will miss Spa. Spa!!!!! Possibly one of the sexiest racing circuits in all of recorded history.

This is shaping up to be the mother of all F1 seasons though. This is definitely a golden age we are watching.

ye i am pretty sure other people would spend their time for free

if you say count plugin makers here they are less than 5 at total worth to mention

But people would fill the void - though maybe not as 1337 as Giles. <-His work is VEERRY good.
This same thing happened with Kane (AGB creator). He left, people panicked - Radonic filled the profile void.

Devs should really fill their own voids, imho, as anything with a void is incomplete. -- Not leave it up to Giles, Radonic, and their badass crew. Thanks to all you 'community devs'; great work!!

So from your arguments, we're authorized/free to reverse-engineer/unobfuscate away the closed-source and DRM to fix bugs and also "fixing the payment"?

I'm afraid I am a bit selfish like Keynel, and have not been willing to contribute any of my work to the community. In fact from now on I will try to contribute more than just gay inuendo, big boys ;)

Yey, another F1 fan :) Yes, ever since they removed refuelling during the race, and a lot of the strategy has been based around the tyres, the races and the seasons as a whole have been thoroughly enjoyable :)

I'm not sure what people would think of my plugins, code wise. I've not contributed any plugins, but have created my own, and although I have been coding for more than 20 years I am more of a hack and slash type of coder. There's no real beauty in my work.

My profiles are pretty good though. I've got a killer Queen/Sarkoth/Wishing Wells one, and another that includes the cellars, but with cellars the GPH drops by quite a lot.

Anyway, enough talking BS, now to show the colour of my underpants, and prove there ain't just a sock down there :eek:
 
I'm back from vacation. This thread was one of the first ones I saw checking the forums again, and it made me giggle :)

I'm sorry that there are problems with my plugin(s) atm - but I got home today, and expect to start working on stuff again next week.

I have some plans up my sleeve that I will work on this week - I've been chatting about them in IRC (QuakeNet IRC in the #ciggarc channel) to people, and the guys there generally sounded enthusiastic with what I had in mind so expect to see something new from me by next weekend, that should not only fix current issues, but generally improve everything a lot (I hope).

As for me vanishing - well, I'll vanish when I'm bored of D3 stuff or just no longer feel motivated to do anything (either because D3 botting is dead, or DB is dead, or because I don't feel there's anything else I can or want to work on). I've tried to add enough comments into my plugins to help somebody looking at it get a rough idea of what each section and function does, and I'm going to try and increase the frequency of my comments throughout code for the next "big thing" I plan to work on - so if I do vanish, then others in the community can take up what I leave and continue it without toooooooo much difficulty. I don't plan on suddenly running off and deleting all my code and trying to stop people using it! :P
