Price comparison

Cost of D3 = US$59.99 (US CDKey) or US$35.99 (RUS CDKey)
(No monthly fee)

Cost of WoW = BC + LK + Cata + MoP
= 19.99 + 19.99 + 39.99 + 39.99
= US$119.96 (US CDKey)
(+ US$14.99 per month)

Cost of GW2 = US$59.99 (US CDKey)
(No monthly fee)

2x as painful to get ban hammered in WoW than in D3

Farming comparison

For D3, an account is pretty guaranteed to bring in 250K GPH.
- If you bot for 12 hours a day and Gold price remains at US$0.50 per M gold,
- You can get US$1.50 a day.
- You can earn gold directly without trading/auctioning.
- Smallest risk of getting reported by players

For WoW, you can't earn gold directly by botting, you are forced to use the Auction House.
- Automated auctions is buggy and problematic.
- It's hard to get more than 1K gold per day when the current expansion cools off (like now)
- High risk of getting reported by players

For GW2,
- It's a whole new game of uncertainty
- Can't really comment whether gathering professions suck like SWTOR

Anyone wishes to enlighten me on how WoW:MOP and GW2 are easier and more attractive to be botted/farmed than D3?

WOW is almost definitely least profitable to bot, dying game + too much cost, not enough profits.

D3 might come alive with 1.04 now that it seems they are getting it right, GW2 item drops are character bounded... that means only selling gems and stuff, as for how profitable it will be, I guess we'll know in a week ;)

WoW:
1. Find overpopulated server in your desired region
2. Obtain unmerged account - $15
3. Pay for RAF gametime - 4$/month
4. Boost a botting character to 80 there, and start farming right away (but not 24/7, 6-12h/day is perfect for the first week)
5. Put your obtained mats on AH, they will be bought instant, if on lowest price (overpopulated servers have more than 5-10k people online even in off-rush hours)
6. Enjoy your cash!

P.S. This scenario is effective even after MoP launch, since lots of people will be back to WoW, and the demand for low level mats will be up to sky!

Problem will be selling the gold to Chinese 3rd Party middlemen, it's an instant flag->ban upon trading, even using different VP* + Account + Guild Bank.

quitting? I will bot both, agreed that RIGHT NOW, wow is not profitable, thats why I am getting my farmers all prepped and been adding more accounts EVERY release of a Xpac, the gold prices jump and its worth it. Why would one quit botting something that makes money, I just add it to the list. More bots = more money no reason to quit.

You either just started botting, or dont know what your talking about. its a market it has its ups and downs, because its in a "recession" does not mean it is not worth it... just means market value is low atm. WoW is one of the cheapest games to bot and moke profit esspecially since you can trade gold for game time, actually about everything you can get for gold = $0 cost 100% profiti

If i think back in Cata Release, it need 2 weeks or more to update HB... but after addon this 2 weeks was extreme profitable. i made first 3 days over 200k a day... each acc... and goldprice was in the sky :) buddyteam must be fast this time. we need the bot fast after mop release

!!!! I did not know that !!!!

Man, you may have just sent me back to WoW. And there's me thinking I had escaped !

The question is, how much gold does it take to pay for 1 month subscription. Interweb time!

I guess I'd better take a look at HonorBuddy ;)

there's particular sites that might ownd at telling you where you can find this info

Lol what are you talking about? When i played, i did over 18k a day on one account over a period of 2 months

My prediction is that gold will have a higher price in GW2 as the AH is global - and obviously prices will go up for wow with the upcomming expansion. D3 might see a small rise in prices with the pvp patch, but I don't expect anything major.

This

But i think you get more profit from D3, selling items then gold.
But selling items require a brain, which selling gold doesnt.

Btw 99dsimonp badass post count!

Is there a notable GW2 bot in the making that I should know about?
