[Plugin] Giles Monster Priority Changer

I updated to 1.5 after reading the changelog expecting smooth sailing but ended up dying at Leoric's Manner over and over. I stopped it after 4 deaths so it was no freak accident. It just wasn't attacking once surrounded.

I have experienced this as well. I forced it to attack and kill the mobs and go outside. It picked up on the route again, and found elites, but ran right past them. Looks like the latest version is ignoring all targets(eventually) for some reason.

Had this running over night and ended up in a death loop, my character was running around like always but stopped fighting at some point.
It was working fine when i started.

Giles got a problem when its locked on a monster and gets jailed in a distance away from it - it wont attack anything.
Seems it is stuck on attack that target but it cant so until the jail is over it doesn't do anything

After getting stuck in the pre-butcher area bot skips all the mobs on the second run and ends up dying

Using any reloggers to open DB? Can you list your other plugins you use? Which version of DB are you using? Have you tried using the latest "test" version of Belphegor and overwriting the Belphegor that comes with DB with it (it's available in the combat routines sub-forum)? Does this happen with 1.4.4 too or only 1.5? Any other info you can give me would help, thanks! :D

DB: .185
i went back to 1.4.4 and it doesnt happen there, only 1.5

i just use giles monest priority, stash and object handler. <3 giles

ill try the test routine, ive tried it before and didnt like it thats why im not using that routine. just woke up so a bit busy but once i have sometime ill reinstall everything and give it a try

Posted this in the Belphegor test release thread too, since I don't know which one is to blame!
Using DB .199, Belph .200, and monster priority changer 1.5
I don't know if this is an issue with Belphegor, or with Giles Monster Priority Changer, but at some point my bot just decided to stop attacking entirely.
Started some point before this [19:38:21.082 N] Player died, Resetting caches.
It then started a new game, and just tried to run through all mobs without hitting anything

v1.5.1 uploaded:
-- Reworked the new target caching code - should fix the random problems people had with it before (where it would start to act strangely, eg ignoring mobs, in certain circumstances/setups).
-- Now saves the config in your DemonBuddy /settings/ folder - helps with programs like DRelogger etc. - your settings will reset to default on first run of 1.5.1 - please re-configure your settings.

with the 1.5.1 , i saw my barb try to attack the poison tree but got surrounded by other mobs
which my barb got stuck and can't move , then it would stop attack or won't do anything

Don't suppose you can remember a few details, I'm trying to get the weighting balance just right for these "close-cut" situations (which only happen rarely);
- About how close would you say the tree was?
- What were the other mobs? Were they the big charging things that have a huge physical area (so block you more easily from a bigger distance)?
- How many other mobs were very close to you (like point-blank range)?
- Did you have leap? (and if so, was it only stuck while leap was off cooldown? I think you can make Belphegor use leap always whenever it's not on cooldown, which really helps "unstuck" you)

Some of those questions might sound strange, but they help me tweak the formula for giving priority to different things - I'm trying to nudge it so that if you are surrounded, you always give priority to point-blank monsters, but I have to be careful I don't push it too far and make it always attack point-blank when there's better targets/when you can leap.

hey Giles i saw my barbar stucks under vault of assasin several times standing beside the ceremonial table, which is a destructable object. maybe it is related to your monster priority changer or world object handler?

World object handler deals with all these world objects (assuming it's being treated by DB as a world object item, and not a monster!). Don't suppose you could get your character next to that object again, stop the bot, and then go to Info and do a "ractor dump" for me - and paste the output here (or in a forum PM is fine!)? That way I can check how it's being treated by DB, and see if I can either make world object handler forcefully ignore it, if possible. Also, you might need to reduce your "destructible object" range in world object handler in the meantime (what distances have you got set atm?). Oh! And one last thing, a screenshot if you can - just cut out anything personally identifiable, and upload to imgur.com (free needs no signup easy to upload & link) - just so I can see how close you are to it when you get stuck please :D

although the broken pillar isn't those kind of object with a mouseover highlight effect, it's still destructable and has it's own phisical volume. This is also related to the WPs in the profile and the Navigation system.

The table I'll add into world object handler as a "large object" type (so it knows to break it from further away then other objects) - the pillar though, that's already a small object - does breaking it actually make the object be something you can walk-through? Or does it still remain as a physical obstacle after breaking (in which case there's nothing I can do with world object handler, that'd have to be a change in DB dungeon navigation or something to force DB to navigate around objects, something Apoc is planning for future version I believe).

Just a thought, don't know what you can do here.

Chasing a goblin, and I believe you have those moon clan guys set to LOW priority or mainly forget. So I chased the goblin, hit goblin, he ran, moon clan guys surrounded me, I popped my cool downs, and stood there to death, never reengaged the mobs or anything....dont know if there is anything to do about this...

v1.5.2 uploaded:
-- Treasure goblins under certain conditions should no longer make your bot completely ignore other monsters for a period of time afterwards.
