If you got banned, think about this if you want to start again.

These are some of the issues you want to think about if you got banned AND do not have a separate bot-free ("main") account that can funnel you gold/gear really quickly again.

1) There is the price of buying D3 again. -> Costs $

2) Unless you want to be banned REAL QUICK on a new account, you most likely will want to manually level to 60 -> Costs time

3) Core/Sarkoth are dangerous. -> Very risky.

4) They are implementing game limits -> Sarkoth becoming obsolete soon

5) You will probably want to do Act 1 Champ Farm profiles -> Costs decent amount of gear and is relatively expensive for a new fresh account since you did not have a main account that was bot-free who can funnel you gear and gold once you hit 60. -> Act 1 farming (especially botting Act 1) is inefficient unless you have decent amount of MF -> A gear with decent dps/All Res/MF are expensive.

Just my 2 cents for everyone. Not trying to be negative. I thought I'd share some of my thoughts since I am going to start up again lol.

Think about these issues above and see for yourself if the benefits and rewards > the cost and risk.

Act farming profiles should help. That + randomization plugin. Do A1 Inf, then A4 Hell, then a queen sark run then goblins in A2. Not as efficient, but the way I see it the computer's doing the work. Sure it costs electricity but mine is paid for in my rent. $1 an hour is still making money off a game lol. Thats a win in itself to me.

Act 1 elites farming is not good for time --> gold. High magic find will get occasional legendaries, but legendaries in the current state sell for 10 to 200k, with the exception of good rolls. It is the i63 rares that make all the gold, but they are very rare in Act 1. Magic find does not increase ilevel, just the chance of quality.

What I meant by needing MF is not towards getting legendaries. It's about getting BETTER rares.

MF affects Legendary/Set -> 6 Affix Rare -> 5 Affix rare etc.

MF not only affects the general quality of an item (orange vs green vs yellow vs blue vs white) but also the # of affixes on rares.

I make 60 dollars a day botting. I've already covered the cost for restarting and completely anticipated the need to do so.

Botting will always be worth it. They have no way of detecting the bot itself, or else everyone of us would have been banned. They ban off activity and statistics that make it highly unlikely that your account is being played by a human (Logged hours, total gold looted, etc). Before you could ever breach one of those check points, you will make the money you invested in the product back, unless you are completely clueless about how to make money.

Tbh, I don't understand this thread if it's trying to be helpful. It looks more like a vulture type troll attempting to thin the herd with a bit of fear/doubt mongering. The only helpful hint I could imagine giving regarding this group of bans is that it would likely be a very smart idea to not restart a bot account until the ban reports start slowing down.

I would have agreed with this before the reports of people getting banned within the first couple of days for only leveling their characters, how can you explain that?

what OP points out is the risk u will have from nothing to getting ready to bot efficiently. You can make $60 a day becoz u already have tons of accounts of lv60s and tons of corresponding GF gear sets. Just think about how much time and efforts AND RISK u are gonna have to make urself "be ready to earn $60 a day". I had this feeling since US bans started. I am glad that someone finally points this out. For me, there is not too much point to risk ur luck right now.

very true, ive been looking into what to do next since sark is coming to an end. i looked at http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...-tank-bot-build-inferno-champion-farming.html this is super expensive and by the time yu make ur money back yu could be banned again unless yu find that one great item thats worth $100+.

ive alrdy tripled if not quadrupled my money that i invested in all the accounts + new hardware to run them(i purchased a new motherboard and processor literally 15mins before the bans so i quickly canceled the order until i can regroup :P)

inferno act1 wiz runs do look promising, maybe somehow i can figure out how to run it without sinking in 150m in gear. for now i still have 1dh thats not banned so instead of selling gold i will be stacking it for the future.

this is a great idea but the average db user will not be able to make a setup like this and the others that can, its gnna take awhile for them to make it run smoothly. OR the devs actually make this bot more user friendly. ive botted a couple different games before, in one i used to run 30 bots CLIENTLESS. for some who dont what what that is its when yu run the game start the bot and then just close the client but the bot stays in game, this way ur cpu doesnt fry ^^. also this is the first bot ive seen that is this raw, to use it yu need "plugins" and "profiles" made by other botters! thats nuts if yu ask me. i dnt wnna be insulting the devs or anything but yu do pay for a complete bot. have yu guys actually seen the db website? Demonbuddy the 3rd party Farming and Leveling Tool for the amazing Diablo 3 Game "Loot (Everything)" hmmmm. "Leveling 1 to 60" ehh kinda i guess. i dnt want to be bashing them ESPECIALLY since it didnt release that long ago but thats why there should be more updates sooner, if it takes too long let the community help like kane who made a amazing AGB plugin or GilesSmith. thats my 5415616846cents lol

EDIT: just seen Hawker say this on the "@ Devs" thread thats been closed.

"We are working on full act farming but meanwhile farming Sarkoth is very high risk. Farm the Cellar 24/7 and you will likely be detected. If you look on Ownedcore, every type of bot including home-made AutoIt scripts is getting hammered on Sarkoth"

thats very nice good to hear.

Cant help but agree.
Im new to botting; but made a thread asking if JUST the DB bot software is typical for any/all botting software...
As in nothing but the ability to use the basic software -- nothing optimized, non-repetitive (safe), and always changing (that DB is responsible for). <-this is COMPLETELY REGULATED by the community. Hell, we would still be getting 300k MAX on the profile (<-notice singular) that DB officially released.
I understood at the time of release, that profiles were slim - and i was lucky to have the one supplied by the DB team.
*i thought, for the time being, the real base community will HELP get this rolling... i was unaware we ALL would SUSTAIN it*
I did not expect a VERY IMPORTANT section of a program to be completely relied on the public's input. <-i thought this was all 'help'; not necessity.

But, apparently, in my last thread - im somewhat of a minority. I've realized i am one of the very few that expected my money toward DB to keep up with blizzard (as per reading the 'Buddy' testimonials).

Am i the only one *kinda* blindsided?

Well, tbh, I don't believe those reports are in full context or are accurate at all. If those accounts are being closed, there is more to the story than we're getting. Also, that's why I suggested that it might be a good idea to wait on restarting your account until things die down - It's completely feasible to believe that your IP or MAC address is flagged and they just re-caught you manually. Hawker posted that there is still a multitude of people botting right now, even with the 7 pages of ban reports. That means they probably aren't detecting the bot automatically.

All that said, everything the OP says is true and it's a good thing to think about. I maybe came off as bragging but my point that I was trying to make was that before I start pocketing money from a bot account I first set aside the cost to replace the bots if they are lost so that I am never "in the hole" after a ban.

I was thinking the same, until I created new accounts that were banned before even reaching level 20. Bans need to happen rarely to be able to profit from botting.
