1. There are spaces between the asterisks - * * * NOTICE OF ACCOUNT CLOSURE * * *

2. The email states that you violated the Diablo III Terms of Use specifically but yet they direct you to the Battle.net Terms of Use.

3. The e-mail will usually redirect you to Diablo III Policies - Battle.net Support.

4. The links in your e-mail redirects to US battle.net sites. So far, only EU ban e-mails are signed off with "Sincerely, " while US are with "Regards, ".

5. Blizzard Entertainment comes before "Customer Services".

6. They will specific which department of customer service they are e-mailing from - e.g. Diablo III Customer Support / Battle.net Support.

7. "Customer Services"

8. "www.blizzard./com/support"

Need I say more?

Why would he post a fake e-mail?

The Blizzard representatives are very strict in following the company's perfect etiquette in the correspondence with the customers, but this e-mail, even looking good on first look, is not even close to it.

But ... I guess, we must put here a slim 0.0001% chance for a newbie or drunk Game Master, buzzing around and sh***ing around people's accounts :D

its not blizzard who sent the email, someone spoofed blizzards email "dont wanna explain it all but the email sender is fake, fairly simple to do" and they are trying to get his account info, in reality, his account isnt banned,
