It's not that hard to figure out who is boting out there, e.g. 99.9% of all accounts with 100+ mil gold collected are bots.
What would happen if Blizzard would instantly and every day ban all the bots out there?
First, they would loose a lot of money from the RMAH.
Secondly, they will loose even more money because if they keep baning us every day before we can make enough profit to buy another diablo 3 key, we will stop buying new keys...

Actually, your wrong.

1) It wouldn't effect the RMAH, if they banned all bots then weaker items would just be more expensive and gold would be worth more, but at the same time their would be less of them. This doen't effect AH revenue.

2) Actually, they make a shit load of money when our bots get banned and we have to buy new keys, nowhere here do they "loose" money. If they manages to detect demon buddy, it would be a nice payday.

This is very true. For every bot they ban, they make an extra $60 USD (or whatever your conversion is). They know your going to buy another copy. They don't care that your going to bot, or they would actually create a system that stops botting.

Bots have already circulated enough botted gold that the economy is destroyed.

its not about the money, if blizzard COULD (and they cant) detect us, they would ban us. what stops them is they cant, not without a normal users going caught in the crossfire normally they dont make a move unless they are 100% sure they will catch all the guilty. so its not about the money, or political shit, its the simple reason that they CANNOT find you all.

It really isn't that complicated to find botters. I don't want to give them any ideas though, by posting them on these forms which they do read.

This is the reason why I have a hard time understanding Blizzard and the EU bans. You cant ban someone because they farm a certain area for X amount of time in X amount of games. This is diablo... This is exactly what the game is about. Of course you can argue that blizzard has every right to do whatever they want but I just dont buy it. There is something underlying like an algorithm they have to detect consistent movement postions or what have you. Because I am also certain DB is not able to be detected. I also think the EU economy is thriving compared to Americas as far as numbers are concerned which made the EU hammer heavier.

I also think the profiles are at fault here. Of course this is a bad thing but it also might be a blessing in disguise. Anyone with half a brain made their money back 10x fold and it will only make the community stronger and more diverse when it comes to the development of profiles and what we can actually do with the technology the DB team provides. IMO the development around here as far as the bot and profiles has been pretty stale. Maybe all this will breath some life back into the DB community. Personally I will be looking into educating myself with the api/toolset I am provided by the Buddy team for ways to enhance my use of the bot.

With how well blizz is at warden, who's to say they're not holding it back? They probably have a "Release the Kraken" button at HQ that activates the real warden and will ban all the bots. Who's to say they won't do that?

Easy solution to the economy, make tiered taxes. That way if gold is inflated, items that sell for a lot would take a big tax hit and that gold will be removed from game. Only solution I can think of to remove mass gold from the game. =P

Another way to reduce inflation would be if they made crafting more useful. If crafted items were on par with dropped ones, people would probably dump alot more gold into it.

Crafting is actually their to drop into but how many ppl have friends with the 6stat/legendary patterns. Also Battle.net is to blame for the horrific way we have to communicate trades/crafting compared to d2. If blizzard were to implement changes into battle.net/lobby itself I think it would drastically change the economy and the methods gold is consumed from the system.

APOC is one bad ass Mother nutter, hes one of our best programmers, so what im trying to say is, even if they do have some kinda magic, (lets ban the botters now button, and they dont) that our tripwire measures are already in place and would STOP everyone client before the warden update would be pushes out to your client. then our programmers can and will find away around what they did because if our team cant do it, no one can.

not only that but you all for get, THEY ARE SUING US. if they did have a magical stop the botters button they would of used it instead of spending who knows how much money on lawyers and fucking with the courts to screw us and all the other botting company's over.

now to the people like "oh mister CnG, but they are banning people they're warden is detecting us and we are powerless against getting banned" again complete BS. go onto netflix and watch the movie "freakonomics" its a movie about economists and them using statistics and other stuff to figure out peoples limits on stuff, and one of the things they talk about is CHEATING, and how to find cheaters. now in the movie they go over a few scenarios where people where cheating, and what it boils down to is, when you look at the statistical data, its easy to tell whos cheating and who's not, blizzard (around the middle of wrath) where upgrading their servers to handle the storage and analysis of who knows what kind of data (if we knew we could try and code around it, but since we dont know we cant) now obviously huge data sets among millions of people say for example a full 1-85 level experience is way is way to much data to go though (most of it being random) normal people would make random data since no two people playing would have a 100% chance of having the same path as another person. anyway im getting off base. they are making server side traps based on (shit no one fucking knows) and thats how they are banning people. now, just like in wow if you dont mix up what your doing (leveling, pvp, an instance) theres more of a chance of those patterns matching up, and you will get banned. same with D3 stop using the same public profile as everyone else, and mix it up, do OTHER stuff, and make your own profiles, hell make multiple profiles for the same thing. just so you can mix them up. add randomness, because even if we coded more randomness, it wouldnt be random over a few thousand people. it would just fall into their profile.

They should just ban everyone who has looted over 100mil gold.

100% of those who have looted that much are botters.

Luckily for me, I am not botting for gold on any of my accounts. lmao ;)

and yet you are still getting elite kills ( what im assuming since the rest would be senseless, which may also tag you for botting since 20k elite kills is obviously also were unlikely for a human being in such a short time)

Is this sarcasm? If it's serious, I feel very very sorry for you.

It’s definitely possible, if they have an easy way to detect a bot they might hold off to snag more users. This is standard practice for blizzard, they also don’t want to give away their exact detection method.

The weakness right now is profiles, not demon buddy. They are great at making 750K+/hr but they aren’t good at blending in with normal gamers. I’ve seen what the buddy team and forum can do though and the game hasn’t been out that long. Hawker posted they’re working on less bot-like profiles that can do entire acts, and might be hear in just a few weeks.

Regardless, I dont remember the last time a HB product was detected by blizzard. Bans almost always are related to profile use and playing habits.

Logging clicks / patterns isn't warden, it's something entirely different and has nothing to do with that.

Warden itself is pretty easy to avoid in the current state; and unless they do some sort of major overhaul, db/hb/gb/tankbuddy isn't going to get detected.
