A lot of recent players on your list are no longer on their list because of games they may have joined. ...Don't know why people feel the need to compete with each-other, you can gain 100x more cooperating/sharing resources. (irl and on D3).

afaik, you cannot remove the Recent Player list, hopefully in future patches.
