Well, the topic said it all basicly...

I want to run my D3 windowed clients at 640x480 or lower but dont know how to do that, if even possible. The issue is that even with three monitors all the D3 clients are giving me a high blood pressure because of the size and overlapping.

Change to windows mode

resize the screen as small as it will go

as long as DB is attached to it, it can run at any size

I do resize them as small as they get with 800x600 but they are still way too big for my liking :)

Just do downsampling and you can get several d3 windows next to each other without overlapping.

Yes, Kick, i use Isboxer and run few of them at 400x300. Highly recommended if u want more bots and fast loading times.

Is there an alternative to Isboxer ? I don't need a full blown software which in addition I have to pay for. All I need to know is the method this software uses to to the trick. Is is downsampling or some kind of (normally) locked Windows / DirectX api call ?

Well I know of one way to force a smaller resolution.

When you see it... you'll probably shit rainbows.

Tried that already but I can assure you that rainbows were a rather scarce commodity !

useful program called hotkeynet will do this for you
HotkeyNet: SetWinSize

only works if set game to windowed fullscreen mode and not windowed mode

Did you look lower on that SS? Trolol

Haha, must be a feature of your Windows - Panda edition ;)

Oh my god, you made my day !
Despite the fact that I have no use for your program, I could successfully implement your tip using windowed (fullscreen) was the only thing I didn't try (because it's totally counterintuitive).

does using a smaller resolution = consume less system resources significantly?

Yes.

So how do I set it to a hotkey? It doesn't let me change the names of the windows even maybe I need to play with it once my Alphabrain kicks in but no luck.

The command you entered "SetWinSize" was not defined in your hotkey file

you need to make a script mine I use is as attached just need to change details ie paths resolution size etc
it lets you rename windows on local pc and remote pc

How do you do this? I just got a test version of isboxer/innerspace, and with innerspace loaded, I can't resize the D3 window.
Well, I can, but as soon as I stop holding the right mouse button, it goes back to 800x600 :(
