Hi everyone,

I am looking to buy a computer dedicated strictly to botting, and want to run around 10+ bots pretty easy.

What are some stats I should be looking for? Obviously I will get some type of i7, 16 gig ram, etc.

Looking to spend maybe $1000 on the computer, and pre-built as my knowledge on building them is not great.

If anyone has some newegg links to look at it would be much appreciated!

24GB ram at least (probably want triple channel)
Processor you'd want either 4-6 core with AT LEAST 3Ghz
Any GPU with at least 3GB of dedi memory and compatible obv
All other stuff would be up to you, this is what I use for botting 12 accounts.

I strongly recommend silent computer running using GPU and CPU watercooling.

Damn. That's a lot of muscle under the hood!

Dont mean to hijack your thread, but Im considering to buy a decent laptop to run maybe 1 or 2 bot sessions, as I dont want to leave My PC on all day and night

Any recommendations?

Probably want to spend about 700-1k

And how do you run more then 1 session? Virtual Machine?

Got quadcore AMD FX 5100 with nvidia gtx 580, when I ran 4x + bots it became clear, that this is the limit and that is more then 3 ghz. Processor power needed for 10 is not solved by a simple quadcore.

$700-1k seems pretty ridiculous just to run 1 or 2 bots...

It's his money. Plus he's buying a laptop. When comparing laptops and desktops with similar CPU and graphics processing power, laptops tend to be more expensive.

Don't know what you were doing, but I'm running 12 with a 3.06gh quad np.

Yeah, I'd agree. Now 5k to build a machine that could run 16+ bots, that'd be worth it for sure =). Mine runs 12 (had 12 up last night) and I spent just under 3k to build it.

There's Quad-channel now, meaning 4x8=32GB RAM.

Processor is definitely Intel. Unless you know how to tweak Innerspace/ISBoxer to have a good strategy to control/divide the weaker AMD cores.

Hard to comment on GPU since Vmware relies on 95% CPU. I never go beyond 512MB GMem usage. I'm bottle-necked by the CPU instead.

"AMD cores weaker" - opinion, not fact. AMD won the benchmark this year for best performance.

You're probably running a small-payload firewall/antivirus and not running other server software.
Why would you need any other server software besides some form of SSH and something to view the desktop with? Don't need firewall/antivirus if you're running with iptables and using a VPN.

its not just to bot, Id be using this also for uni and normal stuff and maybe games when over friends place

I know I can get away with a crappy cheaper laptop, but id like to use it for a while as well.. Just thought I might as well buy a decent one then

How are these specs for running 6 bots:

i5 processor 750
Dual XFX Radeon 7770s (currently on 1) - want tripple monitors for eyefinity during PvP and monitoring bots while typing
Have yet to decide on ram, (Currently use 4gb between two sticks on a shite mobo)
And an SSD 256gb

Question: Is there a way to make each one use a seperate IP per account? Is using a hotspot shield for 6 accounts on one system reasonable?

Also for registering accounts and such what is the safest way to secure 5 more accounts. Should I use my own name for all of them? Planning on getting 5 Russian keys or free accounts from my friends if they are quitting D3.

Well i copied the game 4 times, shortcut, 800x600 windowed mode, all settings to low and off we go and I peak 100% cpu power several times. Even chagned nvidia setting to performance. Gave every bot a maximum of 50 fps in background.

103370 Geh?use LC-Power 648B
103500 Netzteil MS-Tech 650W MS-N650VAL
103307 CPU AM3+ AMD FX-4100 (4x 3.6Ghz) Box
103275 Mainboard Asus AM3+ M5A78L-M LX 5.1 Sound + Lan
103427 8GB RAM AMD Entertainment DDR3 PC1333 (2x 4GB)
103472 HD 3,5" SATA3 250GB WD 7200 16MB

103422 Nvidia 560 GTX

I also don't run antivirus or anything beside the bots. This is a standalone pc, running next to my main.

Why would I do stuff to my IP? It changes every day, but while they are logged on they have the same one per day.

I personally underclock my GPU by 1k revs and overclock my CPU to 3.74 to 4.2 while botting to keep up, I hit 95 percent usage with 12 bots.
