i never ever bot my main account. i decided on black tuesday - if anyone from the glider days remembers - that I wouldnt ever bot main account again. i still mourn my main account back then. having botted for 4 years, all i can say is - one day - one day it will kick you right in the assz, and no smart-mouth comment will save you. I do whatever i can to not link up my main acc with my main, and having a very large amount of gold, i never feel the need to dip into my the gold or items of my botted accounts....i bot accounts till game time expires, let them cool off for a month or two, and them i use the mats and gold. i never bot on my "home ip adress" - i keep it clean, never bot on the pc that i play my main on. after a while - so what if u dont get that skelletal raptor mount from acheology on ur main, when the cost might be your armada of characters and gold....but most of all, the memories...
 
I don't understand why ppl don't care about getting banned, not because of the ban thing (cause i would just start over again like them) but the point where you need to buy a new wow/key to start a new account.. :) (or is it just rumor lol?)

What's the idea with botting if you have to put all this effort into it? Running on different IP's which will make you have to use a proxy server etc. I mean, seriously. WTF?
 
At one time I swore I would never bot my main account again after losing my first main to a ban. For the past couple of years I wouldn't have even considered botting on my main account. Now I use lazyraider a bit and archbuddy a bit and even questbuddy to do those really annoying molten front and Tol Barad dailies, you know, the ones you have to do 500 times to get enough marks to buy the gear that will soon be outdated. Talk about boring.

Is this a risk to this, yes. Could I get banned, yes. However, right now I have maxed toons, maxed professions, maxed gear, tons of gold and I am just really getting bored of playing. Sure I sell a bit of gold here and there and help out my guildies a lot but it has all become so much repetition. If I were to be banned tomorrow I could be right back to where I am now in a few weeks (save for a few achieves) and never tell the difference. However, if my main did get banned tomorrow I think that I would take a nice long break from WOW, let the time expire on all my farmer accounts and just shut down for a few months or at least until the next expansion pack is released.
 
Honestly, I bot on my main account all the time. It's actually the only account I own at the moment. I figure if I get perm banned, then all the more reason to take up another hobby because my wife will tell you I spend way to much time debugging my profiles, CC's, and generally just playing WoW. ;)
 
its so yummy to get like a pvp bot and then farm all kind of honor and exchange it for points to buy looms pve gear and such on i love Honor buddy.

Proud user for already a whole year

I recently stopped playing WoW for a month.
And I had an itch to get back into it.

The itch wasn't to get raid gear, or play the game, it was to bot! WTF!
I had an itch to bot and farm gold!

I thought it was the end of WoW for me, and now this HB is luring me back in!
Not ranting btw :P
 
32 Accounts on 4 computers. 46 accounts banned since glider.
Gold farming is useless so im selling accounts on demand since cata.

I've had the same issues. I didn't have quite as many banned, but I lost 3 "main" accounts so far. One even had 146 mounts on one character in t11 content. It's just a game though. Know what? I'm farming on my new main still!

I've moved most of my botting time over to botting leveling toons also though. It's been a lot better for me personally. I kinda get frustrated when I can't bot something I need on my main though because I'm in the middle of a level job!
 
Previously I have said everyday, now on my 2 accounts (16 characters) I do 1 daily on one toon only, so over this game, so over the frustration HB brings to it aswell.

using a bot on my main account for nearly 3 months. works well^^ and ist my only acc too
 
I bot on my main and 5 other alt accounts.. Mainly mine and herb but also use ARQ bot for running 3v3 arena teams..
In 3 years of botting 7days a week, no bans so far.
Im new to hb/gb, have always used pirox but the combat system in hb is far far better.

I use it all the time since i have HB. If i get banned well that would be the best moment to stop my wow addiction :p
 
is it wrong that i do not even play? i just bot. it is so entertaining and it keeps me busy
 
Botting is more interesting than playing. I don't necessarily use it for profit, but have here and again. HB is so much better than Pirox... LUA injection is scary though.

I do hop on my 85s and do dungeons and stuff here and again.
 
botted for years on main, constant farming,of mats / pvp / dungeons.., never even had a 24 hour suspension..
using honorbuddy + various other bots / plus hacks/ no clipping / speed hacks / tracking . etcetc
