[Guide] How-To: Grind Level, RaF [56K Warning]

So you want to abuse Blizzard's Recruit-A-Friend option... Eh? Well first off, you are gonna need to have either/or:


Now what you are gonna need is, 2 (or more) classes. The only classes i have really botted are a Paladin, Shaman, & Warrior. My choice of CC's are for those 3 classes are:


Great! You now have a CC and you have HB! Now what do you need? Plugin's and AddOns! There are so many freakin' AddOn's and Plugin's but i will list a few i, myself, LOVE!

Now onto the HB settings and picture time... ! But as of right now, im just gonna write out everything, and do the pictures tomorrow! to hopefully give some of you hope! NOTE: I will not go into detail about all the settings, cause everyone is different. Please us your brain.

  • Start 2 copies of WoW
  • Start 2 copies of HB
  • Login using your Username/Password on both


  • Now when you have 2 WoW's logged in and characters chosen, HB will have a mini-pop up asking you which HB is gonna be affiliated with what character. Use your brain here.


  • On the character that is gonna be the "Leader" of the two, go to the plugins tab and select "Leader Plugin" with a check in the box
  • For the leader, have him set on "Grind Bot" (Questing with RaF is not worth it)


  • For the RaF have him/her on "Party Bot" or "Combat/Heal Bot" (I have only ever used "Party Bot")


  • Select a Grind Profile that is appropriate on the "Grind Bot" (I do it for the "Party Bot" aswell)
  • Configure your CC's so they meet your requirements (whether you want Tank+Healer/Tank+DPS/DPS+DPS/DPS+Healer)
  • Start the "Party Bot" first than Start the "Grind Bot"
  • Do not "Clear Focus" of the Leader, on the "Party Bot" as it has a tendency to malfunction and get stuck randomly
  • Watch them Die.... i mean Level.

Update 25/04/11 - Added/Updated New CC's that i have tested & updated the Alliance & Horde Leveling (Questing) Profiles.
Update 28/04/11 - Removed Questing profile i added stupidly and put a 1-60 Horde grind profile

no problem! i could never find a working guide on how to do it, so i searched and searched and searched till i ofund out how to do it all! im gonna read up on MultiBox and Combat/Heal Bot some point tonight. Aswell as adding pics, just gonna go to the gym and keep fit while i play WoW ;)

i have 3 wow acc's
can i run 1 leader 2 followers?

  • For the second RaF have him/her on "Party Bot" or "Combat/Heal Bot" (I have only ever used "Party Bot") (like the first RAF?)
 
It should work the exact same, just make sure you

A) group up
B) start party boys first
C) than start leader

I, however, have not booted 3 toons at the same time for leveling. But this should work.

I ran outta time again, but sometime this week I'm gonna do a mini-guide on MultiBox as it works very well too. I also gotta do pictures! Bleh! :)

Why start the PartyBots (clients) first, before LeaderPlugin (server)?
 
Also, i noticed if you "Remove Focus" the Party Bot has some issues. Adding that to the guide.

No its not at all. Tanking with IB is soooo Alpha its not even Alpha yet.

I'm gonna be adding a eAuction guide soon aswell.

Awesome guide! wonder why i havent tried the partybot yet (no idea why rly) but gonna test it out on a pally/druid team overnight, shud be nice with a pally and a resto druid, both farmers when they hit 85 ^^ Should i make the pally go tank or ret? which would be the faster one?
 
I suggest Paladin on Ret and Druid on Resto using FPSware Paladin and for druid... im not to sure, more your preference. With this setup, you can find those really hard Grinding profiles like Kick's Elite/RaF 1-60 Grind profile. after 60 i find it pointless to run party bot, and just tend to have them both Mixed Mode with BG Bot and InstanceBuddy.
 
You could probably use this with questing right? put two RAF in same group, maybe use leader plugin (havent used it before) and run them on the same questing profile?
