[Plugin - GB2] RoutesBuddy - Imports data from Routes addon and exports to GB/GB2

Thanks a lot, much appreciated :)

Sorry, one other thing. Could you have it remember the last location you exported the files to?

Cheers

Tested in Hyjal this saved a tons of time manually making profiles using your map to hotspot clicker plugin with a height modifier.

1). Didn't run into the import issues that fpsware had with only moving over one hotspot. Pretty much followed the route as Routes predicted.
2). Around the big tree node/path in that area pretty much has really high heights. To be expected giving that the roots of the tree go on for days to the moon. Beyond that height generated properly.
3). Don't know if its GB2 v. 3 that has the pathing feature like archbuddy where it fly by terrain or this plugin but its a nice feature.

Overall does as it says... A++

This latest build is working beautifully, no errors or exceptions at all.

FYI: I have resolved my previous issue by clearing the WoW cache, WTF folders and a fresh install of HB. I don't know which action resolved my issue.

Ok, when using the Routes addon in game to first make the route before usign your plugin, what settings gives the best results when using this plugin to convert the route to a profile? I've tried with and without clustering, with and without optimization, various cluster settings etc.... what I'm looking for is the absolute best settings to get the best results with the plugin, so that the order of the nodes in the route is the same order in the profile and it follows it without just wandering around going to whichever node it chooses at random. Thanks.

I find I get the best profile with 'Clustering' and 'Extra optimisation' turned on in Routes. And I turn off 'Smooth path' within the plug-in.

ok, so what kind of range do you use for your cluster? 45, 75, 100? or somewhere in between?

Honestly there is alot of speculation on the proper clustering radius honestly... Play with it and optimize it... ALOT.

If you look at the logs after optimization you will notice it has a number. That is the total distance of the path... the lower the number the faster you make the ring around the zone... LOWER = BETTER

ALSO dont just run optimize once... run it at least 3 times preferably 5... you will know you have the best route possible when you end up optimizeing it 2 times in a row and the number dosnt change AT ALL.

GB / HB reads ALL data coming into the client from what I understand... So from what i can find out more than 100 yards of info comes into the client. So feesably we should be able to cluster at 100. even though the map only displays 60 yards. This is based off the hypothisis that range has not changed since i used a radar extender

What's wrong with smooth path? I have been using that option and haven't run into any trouble. I would think that it would make the movement seem less botlike?

Just got it working early this morning, used the adivsed settings of cluster 60, extra opti and hit the button about 5 times total. Exported file using plugin with smoothing off, loaded up the new profile in gb2, and away she went.... finally success, woot, worked like a charm all but 1 spot due to phase issues, guess i'll have to quest there after all..... anyway it's doing what it is supposed to now, let it run for about an hour before I shut it off to do something else with another char and it farmed just over 200 obsidium ore in that hr. very nice.

After updating all my zone gathering maps come to find out it doesn't work in Vashj'Ir... Z reference is based at sea level. Still a excellent plugin.

I have a small problem.
I do everything, hb follows the route and then it ignores the route and starts to wander in one direction. It even goes into another zone!
Anyone has that problem ?

Oh and i use gatherdata and gatherer for the data.

Nvm got it working, you can not have / in the name of the profile :)

Anyone figured out the problem with the set Z co ord? It always wants to stay at a set height and this causes major issues when it has to go down as it goes down in steps rather than a smooth curve. Going up is fine but when it comes down from a hill it looks retarded.

Reading through this noticed people have said to turn off smooth pathing, does this fix the issue?

I would love to see this in action, but my account expired, and I don't want to reactivate just to putz with this. Has anyone taken any video of the import/export process, and then the bot running using that route? VERY interesting.

I've used it to make 10 profiles so far. I'll make more to continue leveling my mining/herbing. It's working perfectly for me.

This is a great question and could impact more then this addon. Anyone have a definitive answer on the reading range compared to visual range?
