[Official] Exilebuddy - the Way Forward

I just started POE again to find my Key isnt working.

I bought a lifetime session like 2 years ago , supposed i got another 8 years of usage.

How can i refund my money now and if i cant what other solutions there are OTHER than 2 months of exilebuddy ? I would prefer to use my key for other BOT than 1-2 months of Exilebuddy usage ...

How is possible to let this happen guys ? Thnx anyways..

Supported exile buddy from the start, and your giving us this BS! lifetime means lifetime! respect your current customers and honour what you sell! for all new customers make your subscription monthly! i dont need any other bots i already have 6 honorbuddy keys and 3 demonbuddy keys! never complained about you guys before but this is bs

Please read their reasoning behind it. You must have not as the reason is due to a lack of funding. The bot was officially dead for almost a week before it was returned with a new payment plan. If you like the bot then this is the next best thing to not having one in the first place. On top of that it's now better than ever with very active development that we've never seen before.

I do not think either side is wrong with their arguments. The problem is the buddy team was competing in a smaller market, to which the amount of downtime surely had them losing customers to another bot, and not gaining as they should have because of the public facing appearance of the bot. What should have been done, is more resources allocated to the bot, the bot should have been made to the standards of all the other bots they have. This would have had a better start and drawn more people in, rather than steered them away. There had to have been discussions of leaving it to one core developer being tricky, and that it would run into issues. It is sad that its the community that supported it thus far, that ultimately pays for the poor decisions of the team. This is not my first sour taste with this team, Rift almost made me stop supporting these products in a whole, and now again I will be revisiting the idea of using alternatives. I can only hope in the future they have there shit together, as adding one more developer I do not see being the change this bot needed. Even if it cuts the work load in less than half, the downtime for the beginning of leagues, was beyond acceptable to warrant this kind of action, and would still prove far to much downtime in the future. I will keep an eye out for the next upcoming temp league and see how it does, but I can't bring myself to support a company that doesn't honor there marketing. I have spent hundreds of dollars on keys for multiple games all which collect dust now, as well as projects they have ended.

What should have been done is a window period offering people with lifetime keys, to upgrade them to "Exiled Buddy Plus Lifetime keys" something of this manner, raised the price to have met the 3 month gap and allowed those people to have kept what they originally purchased if they so chose to do so, or out right refunded keys. They are on a slippery slope, because now I do not trust any of there projects that say lifetime.

They also could have left the CORE bot alone for lifetimers, and added pay for add-ons, each being subtle amounts or a life time add-on etc, there was more options that the road they took, that would have left people a bit more satisfied and trusting of there actions.



Either way, I will probably support them in the future, if not for one reason. They are fighting the industry (Blizzard) on the right to exist. I do not play any games Blizzard made no more, but I respect their defense on this. I just find that selling one thing and not honouring it is a poor precedent to set forth for the public.

As to also the defence of lifetime key purchasers, that money funded the bot. We are basically told, thanks for supporting development thus far, but your not allowed to use it no more. The game is a free to play game, and the bot monthly usage cost more than AAA title monthly subs. This is kind of ludicrous to the people who are not in the market to make $$, they will lose money pushing casual botters to the competition, that's plain and simple. These people such as myself have been around supporting them from when this was just Honor buddy, and have purchased products for other games along the process.

I have exilebuddy key(lifetime) and this key was not exchanged. can i exchange that key to a new upcoming products? ( new bot, tyrants.. etc)

You can exchange it for any bot that existed when the lifetime key was removed. It is not usable on new products. You can log into buddyauth and see what products you can exchange your key for: https://na.buddyauth.com

I got my money refunded by disputing the paypal charge. This is scummy of the EB team to do, and while I get it, they should be fine with refunding money to people who paid for lifetime subscriptions. SO what if you eat a loss, your other products are viable. How about you ask the guy who came up with the idea of a lifetime subscription for a game that's not terribly popular to refund you for his shitty choices, and your business manager for signing off on it?

I'm done with buddy bots. They kick ass, but this tells me how you guys treat your customers.

I want my key for PoE, and nothing else.

translate this Asshole behaviour to the real life when you buy a car for example.
1.) you go and Buy a Mercedes 500 SEL from the Merchant
2.) some times later there is a Problem and you give it to repair
3.1) the merchant gives you now the Offer to get Sangyong or to
3.2) or to rent that 300SEL for a monthly fee.

what would you do in RL ? ... as fast as you can you would run to the Lawyer, because the merchant did a breach of contract.

I just tried to use my life time key I purchased in 2014 today, been a long time since I used it. To my surprise I find out that they are no longer valid (no fault of my own!). Now I find this absurd that because the current staff was unable to meet the needs that the EXISTING customers just get their keys taken away. Any decent companies would leave these keys as is, eat the cost of keeping these early customers happy and make any new customers have to use the new payment model. I have purchased multiple lifetime keys for a number of games from Bossland and now I have to worry about them randomly just taking away something I have already paid for and slapping a higher price tag on it?
 
Update: Its been 3 months and Exilebuddy is about breaking even. My impression is that adding ExVault to the team has made things a lot better. Now we are just waiting for the Chinese launch. My guess is that we are happy to proceed as we are now for at least 12 months. Thanks to all for your support and encouragement.

Great news, hope that all goes well in future since poe is constantly evolving and we are in desperate need for a top quality bot like Exilebuddy :)

Good news, this thread should be sticked.

I am still a bit gutted as a long time customer of this site.

I have no problems with the new business way, but the options i have to exchange my PoE key, i either already have it (Like Honor, Arche and Demon) or not interested or play it . . .

Is it not possible to exchange my Lifetime PoE against a PoE 3 month? If I am not mistaken the price was around the same if i am not mistaken . . .

Why is there no bulk discount for buying more than 1 license, or for buying for a long time?
