Weird Pathfinding

I'm looking into a possibility for why this is happening in relation to the default player mover, but I have to test with a few people who have it and see if it helps or not.

I really don't think it's logic related as some are saying, just because the relevant logic hasn't changed for what appears to be broken for some people. Logic looping issues are easy to identify and replicate, and so far, none of the logs provided show that.

Also, I can bot 10 fps on a Win 10 VM (was vmware 7 but just upgraded to 12) nearly perfectly most of the time, but started seeing some noticeable increases in random back and forths as I went into a larger open area, but not to the degree others have, so I'll go from there and see what I can come up with.
 
Beta #1266 has just been deployed with a potential fix for this (been confirmed by a few already).

Set your clients to use Predictive and the new default player mover should do a new pathfind each time, avoiding the scenario for the back and forth.

If you use alcor's playermover, you need to wait for an update, since it was based on the old code that just changed.

OGB will pass the networking mode now, but that's also in the new included source.
 
Well mostly it is fixed am still getting from time to time movement bug.

The stuttering occurs much less frequently , the Duration is much less. Thank you for the correction!
PS: After this hotfix, all character movement is much better, now it moves smoothly
 
It does seem like the problem was removed or at least mostly lessened on predictive, but there are several problems I have with predictive mode and I've always ran lockstep. Is it common to run predictive? Can/will this be fixed for lockstep?
 
After todays EB update my character does 3 steps forward, 2 backward... :D

I'll need a full log please. Make sure you keep in mind you need to set predictive manually and not use other player movers until they are updated.

Well mostly it is fixed am still getting from time to time movement bug.

It will still happen time to time because it's a side-effect of the new movement design. The new movement design causes the character to move as fast as possible, without spamming the client with input actions.

Basically the choices are, massive stutter and super slow movement like before the expansion, especially on low fps/VMs, with the risk of triggering DCs from too many actions, or occasional back and forths, because of movement imprecision.

That's about as good as we'll be able to get it with how this game works and how our bot is setup unfortunately.

Now that I know it's mostly fixed from before, I'll work on an improved player mover that should help the problem in both networking modes if you are seeing it on lockstep as well.
 
Now my mages start move like idiots with Alkor mover and without same
 
Bows now moves better, but ARC witch is 20-22min at map now and moves like drunk...
 
Please post a full log darlack, and include if you're running on a VM and hardware.
 
yeah same issue for me after new patch, i use alcor75 plugin for move, running inside vmware 12, melee marauder earthquake
map clear drop from 5 to 10 min
 
Post your fucking logs,oh god...How many times do you guys need to be told that...No logs=no fix.Do what you are told to do,dont just complain.
 
You guys are using Alcor75PlayerMover still. Please try it without first and see if it happens.

Beta #1271 is building right now, so please try that without using any other player movers added to the folder and see if it's better or not for you and we'll go from there if you still have issues. :)

Without was worse moves. Alcor use speed skills, so it makes little faster.
We will update and try without.
