[Official] Exilebuddy - the Way Forward

As we all know, Exilebuddy has not been able to cover its costs with one developer yet it needs two developers in order to make you, our customers, happy. The reaction to our decision to close the bot has been very clear and we are listening. Today we hired a second developer; its ExVault who you may know for his MapRunner plugin. We do not expect to break even for at least three months but we do want to create a pricing structure that allows Exilebuddy to live on with two developers. Here is what we are offering:


  1. Exilebuddy will cost €12.95 a month.
  2. New keys for this monthly model will be on sale at https://www.exilebuddy.com tomorrow.
  3. Once new keys are on sale, existing keys will cease to work. People who bought Lifetime will be able to go to https://www.buddyauth.com and do an exchange for a lifetime on another of our bots by this time tomorrow. The exception to this is we cannot offer bots that work with Blizzard games to anyone in Germany for legal reasons.
  4. Alternatively, Lifetime keys bought since March 1 2016 can be refunded if you get in contact with us through [email protected] to request a refund If someone bought a lifetime prior to March 1, they have had 2 months use for less than the new subscription price so we feel this is fair.

Update August 7 : Its been 3 months and Exilebuddy is about breaking even. My impression is that adding ExVault to the team has made things a lot better. Now we are just waiting for the Chinese launch. My guess is that we are happy to proceed as we are now for at least 12 months. Thanks to all for your support and encouragement.

Would be great to have one month for test, or have a chance to convert lifetime for months subscribrion.

Can't you convert them to 1 or more months on EB? I don't need other bot keys.
 
If we dont exchange our keys by tommorow,what will happen to them?
 
Thanks for all the behind-the-scenes work Hawker, Bossland, pushedx, ExVault, toNyx, Tormiasz, alcor75 and anyone else either not mentioned by name or unknown to the process that lead to this decision! The community will likely breathe an overwhelming sigh of relief with this news.

A high-five to everyone in the community for making your feelings known, but now the hard work starts. Make sure you thank Hawker, Bossland, pushedx, ExVault and others by grabbing those keys starting tomorrow!

You are aware that you calculated the 6 weeks downtime into this?

Anyway, can I exchange my exilebuddy lifetime key into the monthly exilebuddy key? I too don´t need any other key...

Sorry - the reason we are doing this is that Exilebuddy needs sales now. Exchanging for monthly keys would defeat the object.
 
would rather convert my lifetime exile key to a 1 month key than a lifetime of another game i dont play, will still support it by buying it though
 
With this new model what are the plans moving forward? How long do you intend to support the bot at this point? What happens if you don't reach the number of sales you are looking for with this new model?

Will support for the bot be terminated abruptly with no warning again?

We will keep users posted about how the sales to costs thing is going. As I said in my first post, we will take the loss for the next three months before even thinking about the long term future.

We dont' have subscription working correctly yet so our plan is that you buy first month and that we have subscription working next month.
 
Would there be some Package price, 3month - 30 euro , 6 month 55 euro ... or something?
 
I dont see any BULK discount
and 13 euro/bot mean 2 devs will make new cool plugins? or we will wait other do them?
 
It's not fair. Change them for 1 month subscription please. I dont use other bots !!!
I understand that a lot of losses. But we also suffer losses! Let us build an honest relationship. We want to ebuddy worked and brought all us income!
