I figure due to the downtime it would be a good as I just burnt a Windows 10 Pro DVD. My main concern were bots running, but honorbuddy will be support 10 next release. I use demonbuddy, but not worried if that isn't supported for awhile.

I have not heard of any official release from the buddy staff that Win 10 was supported (I could be wrong), so proceed with caution. I can tell you from my experience that I am successfully running HB on Win 10 and DX12, but thats just my personal experience and should not be used as a guarantee that it will work for you.

Good luck!

I have windows 10 I upgraded prior to reading that it wouldn't be supported (yet) and Hb works fine I had a few issues in the beginning but after doing the normal requirements your supposed to do for HB for first use it works/ed fine.

I've been running windows 10 now with no consideration towards wow since release, decided to give WoW a test go along w/ HB and have had no issues whatsoever, I've only noticed speed increases (Windows boot is 8 seconds w/ my SSD/application speed right after startup/loading with games in general are just faster/smoother) with the upgrade from 8.1.

I highly recommend you do a clean install though as a lot of people from what I've seen have had issues (primarily with huge speed decreases) when doing just a copy over from their old OS which might be corrupted/buggy.

I just used the free upgrade, to get 10 I didn't see an option to a clean install I wish I had though, not a fan I am one of those with slower performance after the upgrade.

Unfortunately I believe the only way of properly going about it is to do a clean install of either Win7/Win 8.1 then upgrade to 10 from that installation, I did this about a week prior to win 10's release compared to friends who just upgraded their old windows and they are the ones experiencing the speed issue - have no idea why though besides assumptions.

I, at present, have been running HB since the day Windows 10 came out (even used a clean install) and have had no odd behaviors or working failures, beyond HB not properly hooking in DX11 mode.

FYI you can do a clean install simply by selecting the "install on another machine option" and simply going through the wipe/install process that way.

I strongly advise you update your motherboard/chipset drivers beforehand though.

Sure, go ahead if you're one of them millennials who don't understand what 'privacy' is.

Sure, go ahead if you know how to disable all the invasive registry keys and system settings.

If you don't know how to disable all the invasive privacy issues with Windows 10, there's well over two dozen settings, and care about your privacy then stick with Windows 7.

This is pretty much a gross misrepresentation of the data collection that Win10 does.

You're connected through an ISP and are using a web browser, congratulations, Win10 doesn't collect anything more than you've already given away.

As already discussed in another thread. Windows 10 while in Beta was pretty much a key logger and people assumed it moved over to a live version. Which is now like an old wives tail. During Windows 10 Beta they didn't care about privacy and wanted as many bugs on record as possible. 99% of the settings are controlled if you just type Privacy in your Start Search bar.

tbh Windows 10 is just as you expect. Looks pretty much the same; runs pretty much the same except a bit more fiddly and settings are tougher to change than in windows 7. I'd stick with windows 7 unless you really need to upgrade

It wont hurt doing it now but I'll having my new Gaming PC (high high end) running windows 10, Win 10 is the Improved 7 and everyone loves it.

Been using win 10 for a while now and it seems to be working fine.

I just realized I am on Windows 10. I have too many computers and my main rig is in the mail.

Been using 10 since it cameout np and for saying use 7 are you for Real what a buggy ver

Win 10 isn't all that great tbh, I prefer 7 still.

windows 7 - 8 / 8.1 : proven to be a 21 - 33% performance increase for gaming specifically
Windows 10 adds another 2 - 7% ontop of windows 8 / 8.1

you have google you can look at these results for yourself.. but, windows 10 is a massive upgrade on windows 7... stop being scared of change, it's so much better than 7 ever was.
