Since this morning, honorbuddy seems to be crashing WoW when i click to another window (skype, chrome, basically anything else) or click back literally 14 hours ago it was running fine no issues
there is 3 kind of scenario's that make it happen.

A - Click off / Alt Tab off WoW and it instantly shuts down
B - Click off / Alt Tab off WoW then go back to WoW and it shuts down
C - it may take a few tries but clicking off / alt tabbing off and on the game a few times and it eventually crashes

Nothing on my computer has changed in the 14 hours except i restarted my PC and it did 1 update to windows Microsoft security advisory: Update for vulnerabilities in Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer: November 25, 2014 shown below

i have also uninstalled that latest update Microsoft security advisory: Update for vulnerabilities in Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer: November 25, 2014 and it's still doing the same thing, logs attached

Log 1 - 11564 All Addons disabled
Log 2 - 11636 All Addons Enabled
Log 3 - 3456 All Addons Enabled after removing the windows update from today
Log 4 - 7436 All Addons Disabled after removing the windows update from today
Log 5 - 2112 All Addons Disabled after removing the windows update from today and using Singular incase it was a CR issue

Again, just to be clear, it was working perfectly last night... no crashing no issues, this has only happened recently within the last 14 hours of the last time i was logged in and it's 100% stable
unless you take the main focus away from WoW to another application, then it's random when it's going to crash.. but it will crash eventually.

--------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

*changing the game to direct x 9 does not fix the issue.

KB3002869 & KB3000850 are the only updated rumored to cause issues. so if those arent installed, going though willy nilly and removing updates will do more harm then good.

they arent installed, i should have mentioned that in the thread lol and i removed 1 update that was this morning... that the crashing has been occuring since it was installed... removing it did not fix the issue, the update is installed once again.

yes, exactly why you need to stop uninstalling other updates. im just going to level with you, nothing that i can tell you to try will end up working for this issue. something is causing it but theres nothing ive been able to pin it down to and things other people have tried to pin it down to like removing tuna's old dll, or removing those updates have resolved the issues ether. by all means if you want to try and track the issue yourself and you find the problem then go ahead, but everything that i can possibly tell you that wont work ive said in other threads, id just look there if you want to try those things.

sorry.

what are you even talking about.. stop uninstalling other updates.... i dont know how clear i can be.

i uninstalled 1 update that was applied today. it didnt fix the issue, i reinstalled the update, 1 update which was installed when the issues started happening that could have been related.. i'm not useless, i know how to uninstall and install things on my computer, you assuming that i'm going to break my computer further is silly and a little insulting.

also, did a fresh install of HB, caused WoW to exeption error out. maybe there is some information the devs can pull from the WoW error log. (and yes i've edited all personal information out of it)

Edit - also thats fine you guys dont know whats going on, clearly this is a new issue and will take time to weed out... it's just confusing because it's literally happened overnight.

follow the instuctions here on how to clear your caches.
https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/honorbuddy-guides/108771-help-desk.html#post1067458

after that run the wow repair tool from your wow or battle.net launcher to make sure your wow installation is
complete.

it was off a completely fresh beta install, there was no cache when it happened, also my WoW is always 100% complete, i have fiber internet so it literally takes me like 20min to fully install WoW... and it's also a pretty fresh install i only did a full format on my system about 4 weeks ago, but i'll run the repair tool incase something in WoW has become corrupted :)... will get back once thats done

I'm not sure how relevant it's going to be, but it appears to only be doing it when it's in full screen windowed mode, it isnt doing it when it's in normal windowed mode, that might just be by chance but yeah.. it's something i've noticed.

Any updates on this?
Is there any way i can help to narrow down whats going wrong or ways i can provide more information to help with the problem?

"yep we're on it" means we've report it to devs, and they will check it and it will most likely be fixed in a new build, if they can track it down. so for the time being there's nothing else you can do, just be patient.

Just as an update.

i saw in another thread someone disabled razer synapses and it stopped crashing.. i can confirm after closing the program it seems like my WoW is more stable while running HB and doesnt crash anymore...

hope this information helps!
