Downtime for 6.0.2 Patch on 14/15.10.2014

I think its a valid question !! why wouldn't he ask he pays for the service he has a right to ask how long his paid service will be down for or atleast an approximation ...geez

You are not allowed to ask that question, it's specified with caps and bold letters on the forum rules

beta today ??? lol good sir - you tease us

I wouldn't count on it, if you read up on the official thread here you'll be able to check out what the buddy team is working on. The warcraft patch notes are also available to read so you can see just how much has actually changed. I'd give it at least one to seven days before you'll see a stable release, but don't quote me on that however. With the amount of changes made to the game itself the bot will need to undergo substantial development to nail it out and then down plus internal testing will need to occur to make sure there aren't any nasty surprises waiting for us in-game. The beta release will probably work to some extent but I wouldn't instantly jump on and resume botting, the initial release will be rife with bugs and fraught with crashes; again don't quote me on that either. All we can do now wait patiently and hope and pray that we're back in game soon.

Not true, HB was down for at least a few days.

WOD has several new features in the client, and I'm sure Blizzard re-worked warden.

A beta could be available today, if not within the next day or two.
Nah it wasn't down I think can't find a single post about the downtime back then and I remember using it directly when mop came out.
There was a huge downtime because of the patch tho like 2 weeks....

From the wiki:

If the WoWclient changes are small, Honorbuddy should be available in half-a-day or so. Typically, patches take from 1 to 3 days to recover. If the patch contains new anti-botting measures, the process can take longer. The longest recorded Honorbuddy down time to date is 15 days to recover from release of MoP . To put that into perspective, your Honorbuddy subscription is 'lifetime'.

Making Honorbuddy 'safely' work again after a patch is BosslandGmbH's highest priority. The product will not be made available after a patch until a thorough analysis of the changes have been conducted, updates made, and testing done.

The process takes as long as it takes--if that's a month, that's what it takes. BosslandGmbH will not jeopardize the account investments made by its customers due to a rush to restore the product to service!

So I have been super excited for today's patch! I was very fidgety at work, wanting to come home, sit down and play. Turns out my internet's been down. . . HNNGH. Friggin' TWC.

Maybe I should go take a run like I was planning on doing. . .

cant wait to get back to botting. gonna make another 300k this month and go off and buy TCG mounts

if you paid for a trail will you lose that time sense the client is not up and running?

this may take a while. not really a big deal, the important question is how well it will function at WoD release to at least level in some fashion (BGs, arche, grinding) and do grind profiles for herbs and ore. a ton of money to be made in the first few weeks (even months) of a new expansion, that ghost iron ore you can't sell for 25g a stack now used to sell for 150G or whatever at Pandaria launch. and it was all over the place literally every 50 yards, but everything still sold instantly. my memory a bit hazy but i made a couple million gold just farming with GB2 in a few weeks, or just a couple weeks. which is more than i made the rest of the expansion lol what with the ban waves and rock-bottom herb and ore prices. maybe WoD will be the same.

anyhow despite bossland's usual claims that every patch and expansion brings fantastical incredible changes that take weeks to figure out, other bots work just fine within days if not the same day (though admittedly those bots are much simpler than HB). so everyone freaking out too much is welcome to spend $5/month or whatever they cost till HB gets back to normal.

I just think the back-end devs are overwhelmed. it took a team of four hackers less than three days to drop the firewall of one of the most secure places in the world, is it really that hard to reverse engineer this stuff? my vote is no.

The last record are 15 days with Pandaria Patch in Cata

I know. and there are massively more significant changes around this time compared to the MoP pre patch. And since someone said they aren't even trying the patches on the PTRs, I'm pretty sure they are breaking the record by far this time lol

But they also have more experience than back then so it may be faster idd
