Hi Buddy community!

Like many of you, I am sick of grinding out gear just for the sake of progression. More so, I am after one specific item and it just isn't dropping, which has led me to this website. However, I only have one main account and am a bit dubious about botting looking at all of the bans in the ban section. Now, I don't want anyone to tell me I shouldn't bot on my main if I'm worried, but I'd like to know if anyone bots on their main account, how long you've done it for, how safe YOU feel Demonbuddy is and if anybody knows, I'd love to know how Demonbuddy aims at evading the Blizzard Warden software.

I've botted on the likes of Runescape, but everyone knows Jagex was and still is utterly useless at catching bots if you play it smart. They rely on reports as their 'detection' software was non existent.

Which leads me to another point. If you lie low in Diablo, how do Blizzard know to look at your data and patterns in the game? Surely you'd have to be reported first or even bot multiple accounts on one IP before Blizz become suspicious. Surely one account, that bots smartly and only for a few hours a day should get away with it no problem.

Many thanks in advance and hopefully you botters can help me come to a conclusion!

Yes, On and off for the past 2 years when i do I baby sit. And as human as possible Meaning only for a few hours during the day after / before work. . Never 24/7 days off some times up to 12hours. and some days not at all.
Im 90% sure there ave been no bans because of DB client being detected as to it does not inject into the process of D3 Like other Buddy bots. im sure some one will correct me if im wrong.

Warden can detect you a few ways most common is doing the same profile for a long time. Playing the Same Toon maybe. Using a re logger and trying to log in constantly on Maint/patch day. There are people who bot 24/7 with no bans for months, years.
most of them using Privet Plugins/Profiles they made.

Most will say this defeats the purpose of botting your just lazy. well you should just play your self. And i do all the time just with close friends. or like minded people. just not every night and if you don't play and your friends do they out progress you.

But this is only because there is no trading ATM and i cant just find stuff on an ALT and trade it to my main and just say i found it last night. Once they or "if" re introduce trading this will stop and ill just but on an Alt.

Hey man, thanks for the reply. This is helping a lot. Looking at the ban section, it looks like most people are banned for 3 main reasons:

1. Botting many accounts of the same IP
2. Botting 24/7
3. Being stupid and gaining attention to yourself about botting

I'd do what you did, do small hours on and off, spice it up a little bit, try to not do the same profile all the time.

Is it easy to make your own profile?

Profile creation is easy if you understand program logic and can Google and do research on finding profile tags and how they work. If you don't have time for that kind of stuff, I have alternatives to public profiles that you can pm me for more info.

I've botted with db since d3 release and have only lost 4 of 15 accounts. I've been botting 24/7 this last 6 months, best practices:
  1. max of 4 accounts on one ip (its justifiable that its a lan party)
  2. bot while at work. play when you're home
  3. do not spend too much time with the legit d3 community in game, being reported blows (recently played list)
  4. dont talk about fight club - erm db in

Following this mindset has kept me profitable, hope it helps

Demonbuddy is stupid. The bot does dumb stuff.

For example.. you are pounding on an Elite, you are taking damage, there is a health globe just to your right. The bot will stand there and dps the elite until it dies without moving slightly to the right to get the health globe.

Point is, Demonbuddy will never play as good as a human player. The bot has a consistent behavior that can be profiled.

Farix, may I ask how 4 of the accounts got banned? 4/15 seems like a good statistic and I can't help feel the 4 that got caught might be due to recklessness as you seem to be a smart botter.

They got banned farming Sarkoth repetitively. A lot of users got owned by Sarkoth farming during earlier days of d3/db.

Ah yes I heard the Sarkoth profile was rather prolific and yielded a high ban rate.

And to this day, your other accounts are botting strong on much better profiles or whatever it is you use?

Also, I assume DB has improved tenfold and does everything it can to avoid blizzards anti bot software?

No, I dont really have time to even bot anymore. Working towards my ethical hacker certification and finishing up the last year of my bachelor degree. I just make profiles for myself now, and share them to those willing to pay.

DB is great at being undetectable and do a good job of notifying the community when it has become detected. Personally, my opinion of the actual code written for this software is less than great. However, plugins like Trinity and Funky Bot have made DB usable on a larger scale than if used as a barebone software.

I only bot on my main account now, 24/6.

if you have any fear of losing your main, I wouldn't bot it. I don't really care as the games kinda dead in the water, if you start botting the ladder seasons then I think they will amp up the bans, right now it seems like they dont give a shit.

Hey there, I bot as much as possible all the time. I have used my main account for about a year. I have three other accounts I've used I've never had an inkling of trouble. Long live DB!
