Crusader build that does not suck???

Is there such a thing? I have tried several builds, but my crusader is still a pussified girly-man. He has good gear too. All of it. 20,000,000 toughnesss, 1,000,000+ damage and he still sucks!

I hope you understand what's important is not sheet dps, but +% elemental dmg or +% skill dmg (This post here explains elemental/skill dmg)

I run a Blessed Shield build (a lil' bit gear dependant)

And this to make it work with Demonbuddy.

Or you could try MannerCookie Condemn build, but this one is extremely gear dependant, with Blade of Prophecy being a MUST (with latest trinity revision 1.9+ Condemn seems to be cast out of range, no matter what range you put in CrusaderCombat.cs)

Yes I have stacked a fair amount of elemental & skill damage and he does OK in t1 and t2, not a lot of deaths but exp/gold/hr is poor at best. Just seems so weak compared to the other classes.

running a thorn build which use demonskin set. Combine that with iron skin + provoke + bombardment + judgement = instant KO any elite in t1-t2. Set gives you 7k thorn, roll shoulder, chest or belt with thorn combine that with passive thorn skill and you should have about 16k thorn damage. TBH, that's enough to 1 hit most elites in t1 with provoke.

edit: btw, my toughness is only 10mil and dps barely 700k. Manual mode can solo t3 rift easy as pie.

Crusaders suck unless you have the right gear, and if you have the right gear they're the best class in game.

It's really that simple, if you want a good crusader do one month straight of chest running. Get yourself CDR gear, Fate of The Fell, Blade of Prophecy, Jekangboard and Gyrfalcon's Foote as well as 6 piece Akkhan set.

That's the only path to success for a Crusader. And once you have it, then it's the best class in the game.

hey guys im a 6/6 akkhan crusader with a CDR of 45% an im using this lightning hammerdin build and its great since i have mostly + lightning damage gear but is the Blessed shield build or the Condemn build better?

Yeah, Condemn is (obviously) a whole lot better. Blessed shield is for people who don't have Akkhan.

He's basically got it all figured out and all the other top saders use more or less same build as him.

So you are just switching out condemn for blessed shield and the rest is the same?

Why is condemn skill with 6pc of Akkhan better than Blessed shield with Jakengbord+ Gyrofalcon ?

Is there any logic behind or just personal choice?
