Warning: Be careful of How You Bot!

Hello everyone! Thanks for reading this. At this point, many already know what I will share but for those who do not, this may be helpful. I'll try to keep this concise so here we go; be careful of any Battleground bot. Recently, large waves of botters who were farming honor & conquest were shut down with perma/temp bans. In fact, I myself have experienced this. I have 2 accounts: 1x home grown account 90 druid for gathering and 1x purchased account 90 druid. Same server, multiboxed & used similar profiles. Ironically, the account I PURCHASED remained untouched. It was the account I leveled by hand that was banned. In fact, it was seconds after finishing my 2nd battleground of the day. Sure, one can say mixing the two (GB2 + BG Buddy) is what ultimately led to me being noticed, but from my personal experience and the recent bans, I figured Blizzard is on HIGH ALERT for any BG bot. GB2 is commonly known as the second most dangerous bot (behind grinding) & the idea that my home grown account was banned before the account I bought from across the U.S + used GB2 with, should come as a HUGE red flag. Thanks & best of botting!
 
This is not a ban report; it belongs in the discussion section.
 
Well all I see is people complaining about being banned in the ban report section. So, yes it is. I am reporting that I was banned on now 2 accounts. Just because I am providing information on HOW/WHY I was banned doesn't alter that fact that this is a ban report. Oh, you're welcome by the way.

Did you fill out the ban report form? No. Therefore, it's not a ban report. You're simply rambling on about how bots are unsafe because you happened to get caught.
 
No. I'm pointing out that ONE program in particular is being carefully watched so be wary. Anyway, who cares? I'm just trying to do something productive for the community by explaining what may cause them to get banned, like myself. Shame on me for trying to help. I should be more like you & waste time telling people they're in the wrong section. Get lost

All I did was say this belongs in the discussion section and you fly off the handle, negative rep and all.

You're not filing a ban report - you're ranting and raving about ban waves and how botting is unsafe because you got caught. You seriously think you're the first person to realize that GB2 and BG bots are unsafe?

This isn't entirely true man. Just today I saw about half of our Strand of the Ancients group was bots. All chilling in base for 10 seconds, all using the teleporter to eventually go, even thought he gate is in front of them. Ally and Horde bots both clashing at the middle for an epic 10 minute pointless fight to the death.....

If blizz was really keen on banning all bg bots, they simply need to go and just overview all the SotA's running.
 
Just a FYI rep system is not enabled on these boards.
 
Bot with common sense. Don't bot on accounts you want to keep. You may be banned at any time for any reason. Don't blame anyone but yourself if you get banned.

No reason to say any more than that.
 
Just because a single group may not have been caught just yet, doesn't mean much. Again, I'm just trying to help. If you think I'm wrong, then ignore the thread. For those who use the bot often, maybe they'll cut it down an hour or two and save their accounts; maybe not.

The point that people are trying to make to you is that there's probably something YOU did wrong to get yourself caught. You came here claiming you were banned because of a "wave". If you posted an actual report using the form that is provided via sticky thread, the community would be in a better position to help you figure out where you went wrong.
 
I don't need help. And I'm not trying to claim I was banned because of others. It's so upsetting to see the number of you that are picking this post apart, as all I was trying to do is lend some information for guys who may us a BG bot. If you think I am wrong about what I am saying about the ban wave, be my guest: "They targeted people with multiple high rated toons, from there on they use script to track activity logs in RBGs' ( The Ban Wave - Forums - World of Warcraft / ) Read this, Rated Battleground Exploitation & Win Trading - Forums - World of Warcraft . Etc. There are 100's on posts on the WoW forum about the recent waves. And no, this does not just pertain to high rated toons like the first post states. If you look through the forums and do the research, BGs/RBGs at large are being spectated. Learn from my mistakes was my message, nothing more, nothing less.
 
You realize you're citing posts that are over a year old, right?
Your information is redundant - any smart botter knows Gatherbuddy and BGBuddy are unsafe. Hell, if YOU read through the forums and did your research, you'd know it, as well, and probably wouldn't have gotten banned.

Let's get this straight - you came here to the forum claiming that you had your accounts banned as a result of some sort of ongoing banwave against Battlegrounds, yet you cite GB2 as the reason for your ban. Did you use public profiles for Gatherbuddy? Did you leave your bot unsupervised?

Contributing to the ban forum isn't done in the form of a long-winded post telling everyone what they already know. It comes in the form of telling people EXACTLY what you were doing with your bot until the time you were banned using Tony's report form. Citing year-old posts on the Blizz forum does nothing to help the community (which you aim so highly to contribute to) figure out where YOU as a player went wrong and how the rest of us could avoid repeating the same mistakes.

So, like my original post said, this whole thread should've been written in the discussion section of the bot forum.

I didn't. All I did was say your post belonged in the discussion section. You proceeded to leave a rude rep comment for me and insult here on the thread. While none of the above bothered me, the fact that you think I'm attacking you in some way does.

You have to realize that you're posting in a forum filled with people who have been banned, are afraid of bans, and/or want to know how to avoid being banned.

The point I was trying to get across earlier is that if you read the forums yourself, you would've known that GB2 and battlegrounds bots of any kind are dangerous now. I wasn't trying to be a dick to you, but it's not right to come here claiming there's a wave going on just because you were banned.
 
I'm not trying to insult you either. I just thought it was messed up after I put in the time to say what happen to me, that someone comes along and just says "you're in the wrong place." I know GB2 and BG bots are dangerous, I knew it when I got the bot, I knew it when I used the bot & I still know it. I have read the forums, I know this. But this post was intended for those who DO NOT. And I'm not saying "I got banned, so the whole world is as well." I read this post: Whispers of a ban wave - Forums - World of Warcraft If there is any chance there is bans going out for BG bots then my post may be helpful. I am just relaying information I have heard around WoW. If it's not helpful, then I'm sorry.
