Internet Explorer 11 and .zip lnks

I'm having a problem when trying to download certain links on the forum. When I click the link the .zip file link it is downloading as a .html file.

I've only encountered the problem after updating from IE10 to IE11.

I can still download the links via the Chrome browser but I have to say I'm not a fan of Chrome (or any other browser) and shall be uninstalling it again as soon as I can find a fix for this problem in IE11.

Any help or information here would be appreciated.

Same problem Tony, file saves as a .HTML

Rolling back to IE10 fixes the problem but it's not the solution I'd prefer.

After doing loads of reading it seems it's down to the way IE11 reads

I know that's not much help, certainly to me, but maybe you can offer a workaround.

I had the same problem when I first started using DB and here's my solution:
Save As
Rename the file to whatever you want and make the file extension a .zip file i.e. filename A1zorked.zip instead of hfa03403084dj.html
Find the file, double click, extract, BAM. Done.
