Archon Wizard Causes Diablo to DC

Hi guys,

I've been having this problem for the last couple of weeks now, and I have tried many options and variations to figure out what might be the issue.

Simply put, when I run DB with an Archon Wizard, if it casts Disintegration Wave for a while it will cause Diablo to give me a "Network Disconnect" error.

What does a while mean? Here's where I begin my tests:

- Latest .Net and VC++ installed

- Fresh install of Diablo 3 and DB (comes with Trinity 1.7.3.10) - Worse case, ~2.5-3s of laser and error will occur
- Downgrade to Trinity 1.7.3.9 - Problem still exists but better, ~5-6s of laser and error will occur
- Downgrade to Trinity 1.7.3.8 - Best case, problem still exist though, ~7-10s of laser and error will occur

- Tested multiple profiles, all have the same results with corresponding Trinity versions, so it seems that it is not a profile problem

- Another thread indicated it could be a TPS issue; tested @ default values, and custom values (10 and 20), with the same results per Trinity version

At the moment I am completely lost; short of doing a fresh install of Windows I have no idea what else to try.
To add to this:
I do have another computer which I have tested on, it's not a "fresh" install, but it is a school computer, meaning minimal programs installed (Windows, Drivers, Office, Adobe). Using this computer to test, the results get a little better, but not by much. By a bit a mean by 1 or 2 seconds.

As you can imagine, this is pretty hassle some for me, as I am forced to run at reduced MP lvls to make sure my Wizard doesn't "cast" too long and cause a DC.

I have also attached a log from DB right after the DC happens and the bot closes the DC error dialog, using Trinity 1.7.3.8 (best results) and TPS at 30.

i will have rrrix take a look on this

From what I know, this is caused by Diablo and Battle.net, and has nothing to do with Demonbuddy.

There are literally thousands of other users who have the exact same problem:
https://www.google.com/search?q=site:us.battle.net+Network+Disconnect

This may help: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/frequent-disconnects

The simplest thing you can do in Demonbuddy is set your TPS lower - e.g. use somewhere between 5 and 8. Lower than 5 may lead to the bot being "dumb" (not acting quickly enough). But even this will likely not fix it, as it's something between D3, your PC, and Battle.net

The root cause is from when the bot does too many "actions" (e.g. casting Disintegration Wave) too quickly for the communication between D3/Battle.net to handle. Please keep in mind, the bot does not press the mouse/keyboard keys in order to do this - that's now how bots work. We have to tell D3 every few milliseconds to start a new cast and when this happens too quickly for the network sync (in my opinion) is what causes it.

Hi rrrix,

Thanks for the reply. It's strange though, as playing normally I have never experienced a DC problem, but maybe the bot "clicks" (relatively speaking) faster then I do.

Based on your theory, would it be correct to assume, that if I got "better" (ie. more stable internet), it would solve the problem?

It could be your video drivers, network card drivers, sound card drivers (yes, those cause problems everywhere!) router and/or router firmware version, dsl/cable modem, or yes, your ISP. Probably very hard to determine.

Well based on the fact that both my computers are experiencing the same problem, I think I can eliminate hardware incompatibility, as both computers have different build-outs. The only thing in common between them is that they both use the same model Wifi adapter and are connected to the same network, so based on your first post, it might be an issue with that, but of course that will require more testing on my part.

On the other hand, I did take you suggestion of lowering my TPS to 5, and visually I can't really see how the bot is "dumber", on the other hand the change has actually increased the amount of EXP/HR I am getting (very strange). It also has seem to solve the problem have the bot DC-ing if casting too long (or at least it hasn't DC'd while I've been staring at it). I will keep testing.

post here your exact build plz,i can make my Archon wizard crash

yeah i am on an equal build,no issues here

Yeah, i'm having the same problem.

I've tested everything it was told here but it didn't work.
I don't think it is a Diablo problem because it just happens with the bot
