[R-A1] Act 1 farming by rrrix

Not open for further replies.
Because Festering has been the highest elite density area (with 2 guaranteed elites in crypts + at least 1-2 outside + possible stack event) for a long time. No one ever goes there other than for stacks as it's very bad for trash farming. It mostly has useless green bat thingies that give no exp nor drops and are annoying to kill. The point of Festering (And Leoric for the same reason - guaranteeed elite outside, and 50% of one inside) is to get stacks, and then to continue on to the good areas - FoM, Highlands, Weeping, Halls and the rest.

3-5 guarenteed everytime.

I was just gonna say I love rrix's profs.. I love the fallen_dev profs too.

The only thing I was gonna say..... is........ 90% of players farming mp 10 start here and clear it all for the very reason stated above. Your guaranteed a 3 -5 stack if you clear the map. The only complaint I have is every profile I have tried wont do the northern part of the map.

Personally my Ideal EXP profile would be...
Full Festering
Leorics up to the bridge.
Wheeping (scavengers den in wheeping)
Fields
Scavengers den
Decaying crypt.

I have it currently:
In Order, first:

  • Leoric's Manor
  • Festering Woods + CotA - it doesn't really do the "north" but I have that code and can add it

Then, in random order:
  • Highlands + Cave of the Moon Clan
  • Start at Fields of Misery random waypoint, with Lost mines, Decaying Crypt, Scavengers Den if they spawn
  • Weeping Hollow + Den of the Fallen
  • Halls of Agony 1 + 2
  • Halls of Agony 3

Please note - the next update will require a new version of Trinity (to support the TrinityLoadOnce in order tag) and a new QuestTools tag - actually the current profiles and QuestTools are broken because of a DERP  typo in MoveToMapmarker, so it doesn't actually find and use most of the area dungeons.

It will also be really easy with the next release to pick and choose the order, and to remove areas you don't want.

On a side note - has anyone watched the bot in Fields of Misery? I added the 'Carrion Farm' event for fun, but not sure if it's actually worth the time doing!

How about The Butcher? Should I add that after HoA3?

Bro Id buy you a beer for adding events! (because it appears way more human)That profile above is exactly how I wanted it minus the north code! Im gonna run it after it finishes the run its on.

Also off topic but thanks for the leveling profile i leveled from one to archon 5 no problem.... with auto equipper.

rrix sorry to be a bother. I tried it after fixing my trinity issue.
I was loading the relogger file to start the run? Not sure what file to start it with.
It then started inside halls of agony 2. Didnt do leorics. Then it crashed.

this time it went to fields

What am I doing wrong?

ive been using your profiles some. first thing i did was make it just run fields, the other zones just arent good enough when it comes to skip elite mp10 farming. the carrion events were the second thing i edited in the profile, definitely not worth it. And i knew there was something wrong when bot wouldn't enter any of the dungeons lol, i had to change it to UseObject to get it to enter, i ended up disabling it again because of bugs in exploring/finishing decaying, it would bug out and think it had explored everything, stuck/idle timer out. i also change it leavegame instead of townportal because this map you need to blacklist trees and cows, and you will just die trying to TP out. another thing i added to help in this profile is added an avoidance in trinity for the tree poison (sno 6578, thinking of doing the spore too but this is working so far), there is no avoidance for it in trinity on its own but its basically needed in this zone (fields) because its so deadly.

i really like the style you write your profiles and hope you can make fields more complete, as its the best IPH/LPH zone.

You know what would be really insane Rrrix? Random destination points after entering zone.
I mean not totally randomly random - we could end up in different act or worse :P - but like you have random profile selection bot would get destination points in random order. That would be something in my opinion ;)

I just started to load it... Im still puzzled what file to start it with but Im watching it do weeping now. its only mp4 because its a new toon but its running flawless.

Nothing - I haven't released the new version yet :)

6578 is the primary PoisonTree avoidance in Trinity -not sure why you say it's not there.. but yes, I need to take a better look at why PoisonTree avoidance is so bad, it doesn't make sense. Maybe it needs something special added. I'm also brainstorming an idea of a Trinity configurable "ignore" list - the problem with Blacklists is that they're not adjustable, or even questionable - if something is on a blacklist it absolutely must be ignored - hence it's called "blacklist". We need a better way to add per-mob type "normal mode" customization for Trees, Cows, Dune Dervishes, etc. Maybe in Trinity 1.8...

You can fix MoveToMapMarker yourself, open up the QuestTools\MoveToMapMarker.cs and find where it's:
Code:
return !IsActiveQuest || isDone;

and make it "!IsActiveQuestStep" - I pointed it at the wrong property...

Gardettos was the best at these, but I think he got banned or quit. I don't have the patience (or time) to do something like this where it's actually effective.

sorry what i meant was i added into 'ignore avoidance in wotb' function in refreshavoidance.cs: else if (c_ActorSNO == 6578) { minAvoidanceHealth *= 1; } that way the spore clouds dont get reduced along with everything else. helps a bit. not that it wasnt in trinity, just not given any significance in wotb mode.

Posted 'R-A1 redux'

Requires Upgraded Trinity (minimum 1.7.3.6) for LoadOnce ordered support and QuestTools (1.3.11) for bug fixes

It goes:

In Order, first:

  • Leoric's Manor
  • Festering Woods + CotA

Then, in random order:

  • Highlands + Cave of the Moon Clan
  • Start at Fields of Misery random waypoint, with Lost mines, Decaying Crypt, Scavengers Den if they spawn
  • Weeping Hollow + Den of the Fallen

I disabled (commented out) Halls of Agony 1/2/3, since it sucks - but it's still included in the zip if you want to re-enable it.

Thanks for all your hard work rrrix, ima be testing this out later.

I like decaying for sure, and possible scavengers but really dont want the bot running lost mines, den of fallen and cave of the moon clan. Is there a simple easy way to turn these off?

Not really.

Well, editting xml files is not that hard.
Just remove parts of the code responsible for entering zones you don't want your bot to go in.

Cool cool... I'll re-work it then.

How about A2? Is there an optimal "do first" area there?

I'm working on my A2 profile, but, seems (from what I cant tell) running Oasis alone is optimal - I already have a revised route there, slightly faster than the others I've tried.

is your a2 profile an enhanced version of in a rush?

Well, editting xml files is not that hard.

except you're limited to the xmls that the profile creator put in the file unless you're comfortable reconfiguring the code from different profiles from different profile builders.

Well, he just asked about removing Mine, Cave and Den.
Rrrix has it "coded" inside his xml files and since he always puts nice comments inside his profiles it's not a big deal to remove these parts.
