If RoS releases with ladder none of it matters. Everything you currently own or farm in the next 6 months will be near garbage. The good items will be trumped by lvl 70 gear and the crafting mats will more than likely be replaced with higher tier mats.
I think the only thing you could hoard and stand to make any profit on is gold if someone was so inclined to do so. It's still at a fairly decent price atm and I figure it will rise again with next ban wave so that makes even that plan shit. I dont think there's anything in the game atm. that will have any impact on RoS other than gold and it will only have an impact in non-ladder.
