Hello.

I just want to say that it is spectacularly dumb that the bot has been set up to whirlwind before sprinting on barbarians, when everyone knows sprinting > whirlwinding. Not sure why this is not something that can be obviously or easely changed by users, i've tried now for a bit. A list of priority casts would be great, this whole "the-bot-does-what-it-wants-and-theres-nothing-you-can-do-about-it" thing is silly.

I cannot tell you the amount of times my bot dies, because it for some unkown reason chooses not to sprint and create tornadoes, irreguardless of the fact that it constantly has a full fury bar.
-But nope, the bot decides it would be best if i lost WOTB, and as a result would now die on mp10.

Not to mention the completely idiotic pickup system it now seems to have, where it chooses to finish all fighting before looting, resulting in the bot being 100's of yards away from the original loot drops when it has finally finished killing, and decides it wants to pick up items, it now has to run back all that way, and often times then back the same way it just came from to move on.

It wasnt always like this, earlier it would just pickup as soon as something dropped, cancelling whatever it was doing, which was perfect so none of this bullshit would have to occur with backtracking endlessly.

It's also kind of irritating how, often times it doesnt matter what you set your avoidances at, it will just choose to take as much damage as possible from Trees in particular, by standing directly ontop of as many poison things as possible.

New features and yadda yadda is all great, but there really should be no need for people everywhere to loose hundreds of millions of gold weekly, all because of these completely basic details have been neglected. In other words i would just like to see much more of a polished product, rather than an extensive and complicated thing where the 0.0000000000000000000003% of the human population who actually know how to code for these things and do stuff with them if its broken, no longer are the only ones enjoying a stable and fundamentally sound program.

Thankyou for your time :)

Hmmm... Interesting point...

Now, I live in the USA, so I'll use those numbers. Quoting Wikipedia:

About 1 out of every 200 workers is a software engineer.

So Wikipedia puts it at 0.5%... of "workers"

From the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were 913,100 software engineers in 2010. There were 308,745,538 people living in the US in 2010, so this puts us at really a more accurate %0.296 of the population who can, potentially understand and modify code. Now, not to mention, there are LOTS of smart people out there who may have taken a basic college course in computer programming or just have a natural inclination to these kinds of things, so that number could very well be higher.

ANYWAYS, have you tried:

  • Enabling combat looting in the Demonbuddy Bot settings?
  • Disabling "Modify AoE Health" in the Barbarian Combat Settings?
  • Making sure "Fury Dump" is enabled in Barbarian Combat Settings?
  • Making sure "Use movement spells Out of Combat" is enabled?

I would have to disagree with "the-bot-does-what-it-wants-and-theres-nothing-you-can-do-about-it" - we have more configuration options and built in support for more unique builds and rune combinations now than ever before...

P.S. there was a bug in Trinity 1.7.3.4 where the bot wasn't using Sprint. It's been fixed in 1.7.3.5.

Hello again and thankyou for your reply

I might have been overly harsh in my criticism yesterday, and i apologize for that. My head was about to explode from fiddling with settings and routines for days to no avail :p

I did notice the new trinity was out some time after having posted this yesterday, and it did indeed fix the sprinting issue on my end :)
I still cannot do Fields of Misery on mp10 because of the avoidance issues that i am still experiencing, and random "stoppages" mid fight while ignore elites is on, and elites are attacking me, and random "stops" in general while under attack. The stops only last for a second or two and are only occasional, but when they happen it most often means death because it is on mp10.

But the "Enable combat looting" not working is really the worst, resulting in mass backtracks, or with death on logout, the loss of legendaries because it sometimes dies 30 seconds after the legendary dropped where it still hasnt looted it, and then logs out.

Things like that is what i meant, like the fundamentals, the basics. The bot was spot on several times last year (just came back now, cant say anything about the time inbetween) dont know how it suddenly breaks, i guess thats probably where the frustration lies, the fact that i dont understand how it works perfectly fine, and nothing seems to have changed in game, and then suddenly its just all screwy.

Peace & Pot

You lose all accountability for using the word "Irregardless" (I corrected your spelling on the double negative and the regardless part. Don't thank me :3)

I freely admit that i have some flaws when it comes to the English language, but since i'm not from an English speaking country, and yet speak & write better English than almost everyone i talk to from English speaking countries, i guess i'm doing just fine.

Now feel free to take your cheerleading somewhere else ^.^

And i think you'll find that it would be "Credibility", not "Accountability" you runt.

I will admit Credibility works better. Accountability works there just not the best choice on my part :3

Oh gawd....people...you need help. Go inflat your egos somewhere besides here. No one wins at the internets anyways.

Hmm that's strange with the legendary thing, I watch my bots pretty closely, and they never missed one they should pickup. It could be your item rules, or item pickup settings - sometimes lower level legendary will drop, and if you're using hard or gniller's item rules it will be completely ignored.

I'm actively working on the poison tree avoidance stuff though, got a few ideas. I think it may need an adjustment of the default radius and health settings, as well as adding it to never ignore in WOTB.

I've seen it miss legendaries from the first version of GilesTrinity up until now. It seems more like a memory reading error than anything else. The missing of items is very rare though. I'd be missing a lot more if I wasn't running this bot or combat routine lol You could try one of the other bots where the IPH will be around 500 instead of 1400 lol

Make sure "Fury Dump Always" is NOT checked and only the "Fury Dump in WOTB" IS checked, because if you have the first one checked he will Fury Dump all his Fury for Sprint away and be left helpless.
