Who wants an alternative to GB2?

I believe I mentioned my two-cents on how flightor is one of my worries about farm-botting in one of these earlier pages. That probably seems rather complex though, and maybe a little greedy on our end . However in terms of navigation, I'm surprised they haven't added portals and things to the Nav already. It's weird too because for example the Undercity to/from Silvermoon portal doesn't work with the nav, but a very similar chain of portals used for 1 quest are fully navigable by the bot east of Silvermoon.

At this point though I'm not sure what other ideas I could come up with, seeing as how you've covered most of the bases while having a very firm base in nature-bound random gathering.

It would be nice if all transport was handled by HB. Le sigh.

I'd love something like that! but in the mean time you should try out the avoidplayer pluggin works well for me! :] Also if all your account are getting banned you should try a *** client, when they did there big ban weaves only one or two of my accounts get banned.

I think you're missing something in the last 190 posts. This is well underway and working beautifully.

Um... I'm not really sure you understand what's being discussed in this thread. We're talking about a bot base that Fpsware is currently developing. It will be an alternative to GatherBro and GatherBuddy2. He started developing this because of the way people were getting banned for farming with profiles, at least I think that's why anyway.

His bot base doesn't use a profile. The way I understand it is that you pick a zone (or many zones) and you set your own points of interest (so to speak). Then you fly somewhere else and set another point, and so on, and so on, and son on. What the base does is fly from one point to another and it farms herbs and ore just like a player would. While it's navigating to the points you made it will record node spots where it farmed, and it basically makes a map like you can get from wowhead, or something like that. It completely random and never follows the same path twice.

From the pictures and following the thread it seems like this thing might blow GB2 out of the water. It looks pretty legit to me. It's going to be about 4 to 6 weeks before it's even thought about being made a private/public beta, so you'll have to sit tight while he works on it between his other projects.

I'm still not sure what your post was referring to though, as all of the posts in this thread have nothing to do with other players really, or unofficial versions of HB or the wow client. I'm still scratching my head on this, lol.

I partially have to agree with this, But .... when I used to farm manually I'd spend in excess of an hour flying around a zone farming ore/herbs. I would take breaks from time-to-time though, Likewise, I'd send all my mats to the guild bank or post them to another character for processing. This is perfectly normal behavior for a human player. But doing this for 3+ hours without a break and sending stack upon stack of goods day in and day out is obviously a bot.

Once I have Farmer Joe working to a point where I believe its more human like then I'll set up a few farmings and see how things go. If I get banned then so be it, the project will never be released to the public and I'll continue using GB2.

The accounts I am testing this against are fine to be banned, I am basically running them as long as possible in an attempt to see just how far I can push the use of Farmer Joe.

I don't have any high level horde but I'm in need of repair vendors & mailboxes for the following continents can you please provide a few in each geographic location, just enough that a character does not need to fly too far from their location to do it. Also, please ensure this is not a quest phased area. The idea is that farmers need to be able to access these locations.

Seeking ideas on node navigation .....

Unlike GB2 Farmer Joe does not have a set path. There is an option called "Node Navigation Type" (description may change), this is where you tell Farmer Joe HOW to navigate and what order to do this. The choices are Randomized: it picks a node location at random and moves there. Closest: find the closest node location to your current position. Most Times Harvest and Least Time Harvested, based on collected statistic and the number of times you have harvested from this node location.

So, what other options could be added to this?

not an option to be added, but 3 to be deleted imho. random should be standard as it lowers options for greedyness or predictability thus enlarging lowering propability of getting caught.

love your work and would love a feedback from developing team concerning flightor. =)
