so as you can see.
diablo 3 takes about 6% of my cpu.
when i Quickly go into my stash... or go to fight mobs, the cpu jumps to about 18 to 22% cpu, sometimes spikes to 28... no problem ok cool.

But... when I run the bot...
the CPU % on D3 is like 33 to 56%
why is there a huge difference?

"Try running fresh installing Demonbuddy without any plugins" -> I remembered that was Tony's famous advice.

Probably about right that you max out at 2 bots, your CPU blows.

set minimum graphic settings, uncheck vsync, set both fps limits to 15, use modified d3prefs

We need more info to help you.
PC Spec(CPU most important, but give us everything)
I see that no edits are made on your d3 at all, use search to find edited d3pref. Set FPS to 15, also you graphics don't look to be at the minimum.

Also 6 cpu at town is nothing. I get 1% cpu at town and 6 when fighting. The thing is that 1 or 6 don't mean shit if we don't know your cpu.

If i were to limit my fps to 15... does that really help the cpu?

now if i did do that... wouldn't that lag the bot and cause it to die more often?

---

also yes.. my cpu does suck...
when you build it and install windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. the cpu% is almost slightly doubled of what i am talking about.
I used AVG tuneup and skills to stop services, and Boot defrag ect. thats how i got it down so low if anyone is wondering.

Originally with d3 and the bot running it should take about 70% of my cpu +

Get a good minimal d3prefs
Double check your video settings are all at a minimum
limit FPS to 20-30-ish
Disable sound
make sure Bot TPS and refresh rate are @ defaults in Trinity advanced tab

If it's not too much trouble rrrix, can you provide us with the d3prefs file you use? I haven't found a good one yet. Thanks in advance

Woah... idk how, but...
I did what u guys said..
i limited the fps in options to just 60 and 15 for the background.

that fps limit helped a lot... i didn't think it would lol. glad i tried it.

also, when i drag my D3 windows to the corner of the screen.. to hide the display kind of...
the cpu % usage went down even more.

I am currently running 2 bots.
the highest CPU % i seen was 62 %

If I close skype, and firefox... and tweak these games just a little bit more..
I actually might be able to run 3 bots successfully.

<--- this kid is so excited.

Are you using custom d3prefs yet?

You should be at 15 fps for both.

I am not running any custom D3prefs. ( yet)
I have it just set for 60 and 15.

( i wasn't sure if i should reduce that 60 to 15)
Wouldn't that make the bot lag and use spells at a lag, which would cause the bot to die a lot more?
or does limiting the fps not really effect the bot as much as i think it would?

--------
Updated Info.
a friend let me have his D3 account.
running 3 bots right now.. I am really surprised.

The only way i am able to do this.. is if i have firefox, and skype closed and everything else.. and just simply just have 3x D3/ 3 bot's open.

--- Today was a big upgrade... barely running 2 bots.. to running 3 bots pretty much lag free----
Time for sleep. can't wait to try out all that FPS limit stuff and finding a great d3prefs.

I wish my intel G620 was over-clockable...

cpu % is running between 88 and 96 at all times.

since this cpu is not overclock'ed, I am not worried about my heat. ( good fans) ( really cold room )

Use the reduce cpu usage prefs from my sig. I can show you some places to modify that further reduce graphics (and in turn, cpu usage).

Yah I am using that Multiple DB's No Relogger

It kind of looks that he is running Demonbuddy from just 1 folder?
does that mean he runs multiple demonbuddy windows from just 1 folder?
would that reduce cpu? or would it be the same as running it from 2 seperate folders?

On my desktop
I have D3 III and D3 and D33

then i have Bot #1 and Bot # 2 and Bot #3

No no, I meant this link:

http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...le-botting-d3prefs-txt.html?highlight=d3prefs

After you get that I can show you a few spots to update that render the graphics lower and in turn a slight cpu reduction.

My hardware limit is 3 bots also. I can run them with overclocked CPU using + win XP, or..with win7 64 bit without overclocking CPU(i have just 4 GB DDR2 ram). More than 3 is just impossible for me.
Despite that..i am currently running just 2 bots. If they are 3, the in-game performance goes down with a lot. 2 bots are getting me near 1m GPH in total ( 500k eatch )..if i run 3..i get like 800k in total (around 250k eatch). Same situation with LPH.
So running them is not the actual goal. Keep them in high in-game performance is. GL.

yes like i was saying in my last post...
If i close firefox/skype, thats the only way i am able to run 3 bots....
----------------
Basically my 3 bots work great and get me about 500 to 550 K gold an hour. which is about the same amount i get just using 1 bot.
Now if i open firefox/skype... which requires me to need 107% cpu... then to make it 100% the d3 windows/bot has to sacrifice/lag and make up for that amount.
which leads to bad performance in reaction times/ movements/ and spells.
and your gold per hour drops to about 280K an hour.

the problem is that dual core cpu, its prolly an 1155 socket so id just go with an upgrade to an i5, at a minimum. =\
