Starcraft causing bot disconnects. Help

Im running 10 bots, only using 30% CPU with spikes to 40% at the most.

When I play starcraft the bots simply stop moving. I alt tab and they are all dead.

Im assuming playing in windowed mode would resolve the issue but I am a noob and pan screen by moving my mouse so in windowed mode I cant pan the screen.

Any workarounds for this? Im assuming it is a foreground / background issue.
 
you need to run starcraft 2 in "windowed fullscreen mode" and under controls you select "bind mouse -> always"

this will a) run SC2 in a windows but without borders, so you can't actually tell that it is running in a window (looks the same as fullscreen) and

b) prevent your mouse to leave SC2 area so you can still scroll with your mouse like normal.

The reason your bots are dying is that you are running SC2 in exclusive fullscreen mode which "pauses" all other DirectX applications (your bots). Windowed Fullscreen does not do this but I will promise you that SC2 will run like shit with that many WoW Bots running on the same machine.
 
As other said you need fullscreen to run sc2. I have found that this is not always the case though. Some games like "Devil May Cry 5" don't have such an option. Yet the bots work at 100% capacity.

Although i am amazed that no one asked OP what CPU does he has to run 10 bots at 30%. So care to share OP?
 
I am also interested in how you run 10 bots with 30% CPU usage. Please tell us your CPU

Overclocked I7 3770k

Thanks for the bind mouse advice. That should do it.

Btw if you are interested in CPU's for botting I7 3770k does MORE than people say it does. when I was shopping around almost everyone said it couldnt support 10 bots.

But I have ran up to 16 without spiking to 90%.

With all the hardcore banning early this year I opted to go with 10 and increase bot intelligence to 15 through DB settings to use extra cpu. I still wont spike over 45-50 and I do NOT use db prefs to alter the game in any way.

I cant find where to set it...
 
What if i have a second monitor ? Can i move all my bots on the second monitor and play another game in full screen on the first monitor ?

I have a new 3770k too, what's your overclock settings? may I also ask what your vid card is to run 10 bots while being able to play sc?

btw, all I could think of for your problem is that you probably need to run sc on windows fullscreen mode, but if you have already done that then yeah I don't really know the solution. =P
