Banned EU 1/1 - minimal playtime **NOW UNBANNED**

I just got unbanned by blizzard.
I recieved the following email from them:

Greetings,

We recently closed the Diablo III license associated with this Battle.net account. However, we?ve found evidence that the closure may have been a mistake on our part so we have re-opened the account for play effective immediately. We regret the error and hope that you will accept our sincere apologies.

Then they write something about fair play and sticking to policies, i wont paste the entire email, call it paranoia.

So i guess Blizzard do make bans based on loose assumptions..
When i recieved the ban i complained 3 times - and got the same message each time that they had done another investigation and concluded i had violated their terms etc etc..
Its been around a month since i last did anything, and suddenly i get unbanned.. im puzzled and happy at the same time :)

If i can get banned, so can everybody else.. read why below.

I have purchased a total of 4 one day licenses spanning over the last 8 days. And played around 3-5 hours a day, monitoring allmost everything.
I only have this account, no mules, no other accounts, and im the only person playing the account also.


1) Were you using DemonBuddy on the account at the same time the ban/suspension occurred? (Kicked offline due to being Banned)
No, i was offline

2) If not, when was the last time?:
Last time was roughly 24 hours earlier, where i played 3 hours with the bot on - while monitoring everything, and even took precautionary steps such as pausing the bot to play a bit myself.

3) If using a public profile please name it here:
Galkaiser 2.9.2

4) How did you level your characters? Please give some details
leveled by hand up until paragon 15. was at paragon 33 when i got banned. (bought the account when the game got released)

5) What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname:
Trinity - Demonhunter

6) What plugins are you using?:
Trinity

7) How many hours per day did you bot for?:
3-5

7.5) What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot?
90%

8) How many auctions per day did you have?:
5-10

8.5) Did you use the Real Money Auction House (RMAH)?
No

9) Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, Mods, or Exploits?
No

10) Was your account involved in gold selling?

you know what? I think the more you play like a human, and from time to time your playing style changes to a bot like
the bigger the chance to get banned
I havent played on my last 2 accounts, and since last biggest banwave I'm going strong 24/7
survived today too
 
I disagree, if blizz GM's are monitoring the playstyle/actions - they will be looking after patterns that can be related to bot behaviour. or even dropping loot with altered ID's that the bot wont pickup, because its bound to only pickup items from a known loot table.
For example if the GM spawns a legendary item right infront of the bot, but the legendary items has its ID changed to something else (level 14 magic item or so) the bot will just ignore it and keep on fighting, where as a player would pick up the item in a heartbeat. (this is just an example, but think in those lines, they could easily do a test to see if your a bot or a human)
 
yeah because they have 0896097467450-4576 admins avable to throw items at every russian bot everywhere, or chinese for that matter
just look around you, everyone and his mother uses bots...
most of the bans are automatic btw...incase you didnt knew... and yes they ban because of behavior
 
you probably got flagged and banned so fast because of something else
i don't believe in luck or automatic ban . they are reviewing the accounts before ban is my gut feeling

Do you have an email that says why you were banned?
 
I recieved an email from Blizzard entertainment, with an automated response that stated i had repeatedly violated their policies, (not any specifics about what i did) and that they had investigated my account and concluded that i infact had broken some of their policies. and that they have banned my account, with no chance of getting it reopened again.

I then wrote a complaint, and got another standard reply, that they where completely sure i had violated their policies and i had no chance to get my account unbanned.
 
Good example why you go 24/7 or nothing. You will always get banned.
 
I guess your correct Moldran, since i can honestly say i did everything possible to minimize the chances of getting caught.. I have went through the different occations that might have set of a flag and they are the following:

1. The bot would sometimes get stuck at different points, and repeatedly run into the wall or try to vault (DH ability), into the wall.. this can be considered bot behaviour.. question is, is that enough to issue a ban? i noticed it happen 5-6 times in the time i botted, a few times the bot logged out and back in out due to inactivity.

2. i have had the bot log in and out of the game multiple times within a short timespan due to the run sequence was completed, and it could somehow not restart the sequence.. (this could also have raised a flag for further GM monitoring)

3. If my char died, the bot would take unlogical routes to where my character died. (must be a waypoint issue)


That all the possible reasons i have for the ban.

Thats very strange. No mention of "hacks" or "bots" in the email.

Not sure what to make of that.
 
@Hawker In the email they did mention a list of actions that was in violation of their policies. (i will paste some of the email when i get home later today)
But in essence they said i was found guilty of repeatedly violating their policies (such as(hacking, gold trading outside the game, using 3rd party programs, etc)) they did not narrow it down to any specifics, only mentioned all the possible offences and that i was guilty of one or more of them.
 
Nvm how many hours or minutes per day u have boted guys..Once u log with Db and attach it to D3 Blizzard alrdy know that...U are not getting banned right alway becouse they are collecting information first them ban wave is comming...I have friend who got banned 1 hour after used for first time DB on his D3 OLD acc....Soo if you going to BOT..go 24/7....U will get banned soon or later.Last night i got the bann when i was in party game with friend.....Dcd and BANN....that means they have detect me before that and the time just have come :p...One thing i cant understand....Why Blizzard care soo much how i'm gona play with my char.....If i;m going to make money from that acc i will do the same thing that doing with bot damn...I'm agree with them to bann those who are using 10 accounts + to 100 + etc...But to bann those with 1/1 its really stupid...YES we are making some money..but Blizz earn from that too,then wth they want from us damn,to play like BOTS 24/7 and to not have personal life?Whats the difference if i;m gona play or my Buddy "bot" will do it for me :p...Soooo stupid damn..So if u want to make some money..bot harder until u got banned...the deal is to make more money then u spend for this banned acc and your bot.I dont think DB is undetectable/invisible for blizzard or somthing like that.Like you all know this forum is free access and blizz can read evrything that we say here,to download and test evry new DB update and to find out how to detect us really fast and easy i think...Blizz is big company and they are not soo stupid like we think...Just be thankfull u didnt get the bann hammer right alway when u first time start the bot :p like some unlucky players...GOOD LUCK from now on and lets hope Blizz will let us bot more next time :)

^ that is the reason for the ban. Logging in and out (or recreating games that is) in very short time span can defenitely get you flagged/banned. Question is, if it is a human factor that makes the final decision on the ban, why would they ban you if you weren't botting long hours, nor transferring gold...
I mean how many logins/games were in that "multiple times log in and out" ?
